The ideal candidate has experience managing engineering teams, leading end-to-end software development, working with cloud and data technologies such as Kafka and Spark, and driving modern engineering practices in a regulated environment.\n\nAs Manager, Software Engineering, you are responsible for delivery execution, team performance, and operational excellence. You will partner closely with Development Leads who drive technical design and architecture, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, at high quality, and at scale. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud, data, and AI-assisted development, with a primary focus on execution, team leadership, and delivery outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOwn end-to-end delivery of team commitments across scope, schedule, quality, and production readiness.\nDrive predictable execution through effective sprint planning, backlog management, dependency management, and risk mitigation.\nLead and manage the engineering team by setting clear expectations, establishing accountability, and building a high-performing culture.\nUse delivery and operational metrics, including predictability, cycle time, defect rates, and system stability, to identify and drive improvements.\nPartner with Enterprise Architecture, Development Leads, and Senior Staff Engineers to align delivery with approved technical designs and architecture.\nCoach engineers in cloud, data, software quality, and AI-assisted development practices.\nLead adoption of modern engineering and AI-assisted development practices to improve delivery effectiveness and quality.\nOwn system stability and incident response, including decisions and actions required to restore service and reduce recurrence.\nEnsure engineering delivery complies with FDA, HIPAA, and internal quality standards.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.\nAt least 10 years of software engineering experience.\nAt least 5 years of experience managing software engineering teams.\nDemonstrated experience leading end-to-end software delivery, including scope, schedule, quality, production readiness, and operational stability.\nExperience with data streaming and data processing workloads using Apache Kafka and Apache Spark, respectively.\nStrong leadership, coaching, stakeholder partnership, and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with cloud-native architectures on AWS.\nExperience developing and maintaining production Java applications using technologies such as Spring Boot and Apache Camel.\nExperience with document and relational databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL.\nWorking knowledge of AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, agent-based patterns, and AI-assisted software development practices.\nExperience working in a global delivery model spanning the United States and India.\nExperience delivering software in a regulated environment and working with FDA, HIPAA, or internal quality requirements.\nAdditional Information:\n\nCompensation & Benefits:\n\nFor U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $160,000.00 - $239,950.00\n\nThis position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.\n\nWe offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:\n• Medical, dental, and vision insurance\n• 401(k) with company match\n• Paid time off (PTO)\n• And additional employee wellness programs\n\nApplication Details:\nThis job posting will remain open until the position is filled.\nTo apply, please visit the Insulet Careers site and submit your application online.\n\nActual pay depends on skills, experience, and education.Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD), headquartered in Massachusetts, is an innovative medical device company dedicated to simplifying life for people with diabetes and other conditions through its Omnipod product platform.
