You'll play a key role in producing life-changing healthcare products while gaining cross-functional training, exposure to advanced manufacturing processes, and opportunities to contribute to new product launches, process improvements, and operational excellence.\n\nPosition Overview\nThe SMA Wire Technician operates detail-sensitive machines making small parts and works with their hands on small, detailed projects.\nThis is a weekend day shift. Working hours are 6:00 am - 6:30 pm, Friday - Sunday.\nResponsibilities\nPerform equipment setup, operation, repair, and basic daily/weekly preventative maintenance tasks to meet all standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.\nMaintain machine raw material feeds, perform any fault clearing and clear stoppages on automated equipment.\nUtilize human machine interfaces (HMIs) to identify and correct shifts in process control.\nEnsure adequate raw material is prepared correctly and jobs are on schedule\nAble to utilize computer systems to support material inventory and quality management processes.\nPerform routine cleaning/inspection/lubrication of machinery.\nAble to use measuring tools to assess process stability and product quality\nWorks from specifications, work orders, and general instructions from Supervisor.\nSafely follow standard operating procedures including but not limited to material handling, record keeping, packaging, and shipment preparation.\nIdentify and report discrepancies in quality, safety and process execution\nEnsure adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards (FDA 21CFR, ISO 13495, cGMP)\nAble to work in small groups and cross functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify and implement collective corrective actions.\nMaintain a clean work environment suitable for medical device manufacturing.\nPerforms other duties as required.\nRequired Skills and Competencies\nSelf-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.\nMust be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write.\nIdeal candidate will have keen eye for quality, is dependable, and will work collaboratively within a team, and possess a positive attitude.\nMechanical Aptitude - Knowledge of and experience with automated machines and tools, including design, uses, repair, and maintenance.\nProduction & Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, measurement instruments, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for the manufacture and distribution of goods.\nMathematics - Knowledge of basic arithmetic, algebra and/or geometry.\nPreferred Education and Experience\nHigh School Diploma/GED\nExperience in manufacturing\nExperience with assembling, debugging, and optimizing discrete component assembly processes\nPhysical Requirements\nRequired to stand for at least 75% of working time per shift, with walking at least 50% of working time per shift.\nRequired to reach above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.\nRequired to push and pull.\nAbility to lift up to 20lbs occasionally, 5-10lbs frequently.\nAdditional Information\n The position is working on-site at our Acton, MA location.\nNOTE: This position requires on-site working (requires on-site office/plant/lab work). #LI-\nOnsite\nAdditional Information:\n\nCompensation & Benefits:\n\nFor U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $18.16 - $27.24\n\nThis position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.\n\nWe offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:\n• Medical, dental, and vision insurance\n• 401(k) with company match\n• Paid time off (PTO)\n• And additional employee wellness programs\n\nApplication Details:\nThis job posting will remain open until the position is filled.\nTo apply, please visit the Insulet Careers site and submit your application online.\n\nActual pay depends on skills, experience, and education.Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD), headquartered in Massachusetts, is an innovative medical device company dedicated to simplifying life for people with diabetes and other conditions through its Omnipod product platform.
