As a senior technical contributor, this individual collaborates cross-functionally and reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Electrical Engineering.\n\nWe seek an engaged thinker with exceptional communication skills who can independently pursue a variety of tasks as part of an interdisciplinary team. This team member will serve as an individual contributor on the R&D team, focused on the design, development, and test of the electronics in low power RF-controlled wearable medical devices for infusion pump systems. Execution to schedule with high quality deliverables is key to success.\nResponsibilities:\nOversees the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems\nCreates schematics and circuit board layouts, overseeing fabrication and assembly of prototypes with outside vendors\nApplies principles of electronics and electrical design, including digital, analog, RF, and mixed signal systems\nIndependently performs experiments, including development of test methods, measurement, and analysis\nTroubleshoots system design issues using systematic root cause analysis methods\nProvides resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems, focusing on data-driven decision making\nPresents concepts, analysis, and conclusions to stakeholders both technical and non-technical\nCreates and meets schedules for complex projects with cross-functional dependencies\nPerforms other duties as required\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience \nAnalog, digital, and mixed signal circuit analysis, including custom integrated circuits and in-depth simulation (Monte-Carlo, etc)\nAdvanced principles of design (Electromagnetic Compatibility, Electrostatic Discharge, RF)\nBluetooth Low Energy design and test techniques\nEthical, responsible, and data-driven decision making methodology\nSelf-starter, detail oriented, and effective verbal/written communicator\nTest protocol and report development\nLab Equipment Proficiency (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Signal Generators, etc.)\nOffice Software Proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nEngineering Software Proficiency preferred (Cadence OrCAD, Cadence PCB Editor, Matlab, MathCAD, MiniTab)\n\nPreferred Skills and Competencies:\nKnowledge of analog and power supply design.\nKnowledge of digital circuit design and Microprocessors.\nKnowledge of low power battery operating embedded system.\nKnowledge of PCB layout design rules.\nFamiliarity with the RF design and BLE protocol is a plus.\nAbility to use laboratory equipment for electronics measurement.\nKnowledge of National Instruments LabVIEW tool is a plus.\nKnowledge of electrical safety and EMC standards for medical devices is a plus.\nKnowledge of FDA design control guidelines is a plus.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThis position may require business travel.\nAdditional Information:\nInsulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD), headquartered in Massachusetts, is an innovative medical device company dedicated to simplifying life for people with diabetes and other conditions through its Omnipod product platform.
