This role works across the organization to ensure all facets are considered.\nWe want your talent\nIf you are great at:\nDesigning and maintain the enterprise AI governance framework, covering: Responsible/ethical AI principles Model lifecycle governance (design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, retirement), agent monitoring, risk assessments and approval, and accountability expectations.\nDeveloping and maintain AI-specific policies, standards, and guidelines, including acceptable use, transparency, explainability, and risk classification. \nEstablishing an engagement model and build controls to ensure all AI initiatives are captured and associate a risk rating with each initiative. \nIdentifying and assess AI risks such as: Bias and fairness, privacy and data misuse, security vulnerabilities, and hallucinations and model drift. \nMaintaining an AI inventory / model register and map risks to controls. \nDefining and track AI-related KRIs and issues requiring remediation or escalation. \nMonitoring evolving AI regulations and standards (e.g., OSFI Guidelines (E-23), NIST and CIS v8) \nEnsuring AI use cases and vendors align with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations .\nSupporting audit readiness for AI governance, including evidence, attestations, and documentation. \nAct as a central coordination point across: Legal, ERM, Privacy Security, Architecture, Data Science, Engineering, Product and, Business Owners.\nEmbed governance checkpoints into existing SDLC / MLOps processes rather than operating as a separate gate \nDefining and maintain cloud governance standards for: Account/subscription management, data residency and sovereignty, encryption, logging, and monitoring key control alignment.\nEnsuring consistent implementation of guardrails across cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).\nOverseeing cloud control alignment with: Security and risk frameworks (COBIT, CIS v8), business continuity and, resilience requirements.\nPartnering with cloud security teams to ensure risks are identified, documented, and treated appropriately (not bypassed for speed) .\nSupporting vendor due diligence, contract language, and ongoing risk oversight related to cloud and AI services.\nIf you have:\nBachelor’s degree, Diploma or Certificate in Computer Science, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. \n10+ years' experience working in a technology environment. \nStrong understanding of the evolving AI space and Cloud environment. \nAn understanding of mission critical applications and an ability to assess the risk and impact associated with change. \nExperience in working with a cross functional team is an asset. \nBasic knowledge of insurance, business, and technical areas; Property and Casualty Insurance experience an asset. \nProficient knowledge of information systems and software. \nWe really mean it when we say we put you first. The base salary range for this role is $128,000 - $177,000, which reflects the expected base pay - not the total compensation package.
