You’ve worked with commercial policies, you understand why commercial risk is different, and you want to keep building on that, with support, structure and real exposure to international markets.\nIs this you?\nYou’ve worked hands-on with commercial insurance - even if your title doesn’t say “underwriter”\nYou’re curious, you learn fast and new systems don’t scare you\nYou want an international career without leaving South Africa\nYou feel your skills have outgrown your current role (or your current salary)\nWhat you’ll do\nUnderwriting & portfolio support\nAssist with new business, renewals, endorsements and mid-term adjustments\nRequest and assess quotations, present options and implement premium adjustments\nHelp analyse client portfolios and assess risk to ensure appropriate cover and pricing\nSupport retention by keeping renewals on track and reducing policy cancellations\nClient & broker communication\nCommunicate clearly and professionally with clients, brokers, insurers and internal teams\nBuild working relationships that support long-term portfolio growth\nAdministration & compliance\nMaintain accurate electronic records for audit and compliance\nAssist with invoicing, refunds and general policy administration\nMake sure documentation is complete, accurate and up to date\nWhat you’ll need\nMatric (essential)\nHands-on experience with commercial short-term insurance policies\nStrong written and spoken English, and confidence speaking to clients\nComfort with technology and a willingness to learn new platforms quickly\nSouth African citizen currently residing in South Africa\nAdvantageous\nRE5 / FAIS credits, or working towards them\nA relevant degree or diploma\nExperience on broking or underwriting systems\nPlease note: personal lines experience on its own isn’t suitable for this role. Commercial risk is a different discipline, and our clients need that foundation.\nHow we work\nFully remote from a dedicated home office\nFibre internet: minimum 50/50 Mbps, 100/100 Mbps preferred\nShifts aligned to UK or Australian business hours. Our clients working hours relate to our 04:00-12:30, 11:00-19:00 and 16:00-00:00 (SAST).\nWhat you get\nA competitive monthly salary of R20 000- R29 000, depending on experience\nA placement working with our clients - established international brokers\nOnboarding and training into your client’s systems and processes\nExposure to UK and Australian commercial markets and modern underwriting practice\nA clear, transparent recruitment process\nHow the process works\nThis is a pipeline role.
