However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.\nAbout the role\nIntact Insurance is seeking an experienced Senior Security Advisor to strengthen its Detection Engineering in cyber defence team. This role focuses on cloud and infrastructure security, threat detection, and the development of scalable security solutions.\nWhat you'll do here:\nDesign, implement, and maintain secure cloud, on-premises, and containerized environments.\nCollaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams while managing priorities independently.\nSupport log ingestion, normalization, filtering, troubleshooting, and platform maintenance.\nMonitor, validate, and investigate alerts using SIEM, EDR, XDR, and related security platforms.\nDevelop, tune, and maintain detection rules, security use cases, and threat signatures.\nInvestigate suspicious activity and identify new detection, mitigation, and response opportunities.\nReduce false positives and improve alert quality and response efficiency.\nAdminister core security tools, including Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Purview, and Jira.\nWhat you bring to the table:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.\n4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, DevOps, or infrastructure.
