However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the security and management of sensitive data.\nThe successful candidate will play a key technical role, with strong involvement in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of scripts and applications related to the data environment. They will also act as a technical point of contact for the Architecture and Security teams.\nWhat you’ll do here:\nDevelop, maintain, and improve scripts and software components related to the management of personal and sensitive data.\nManage incoming and outgoing data flows in a secure data room, particularly within a Citrix environment.\nAnalyze requirements, identify technical issues, and propose appropriate solutions.\nTranslate functional and technical requirements into detailed specifications and software components.\nDesign, develop, test, debug, and document reliable and maintainable solutions.\nFocus primarily on maintenance activities while contributing to new projects, including the development of an internal data analysis tool and a new user interface for backend services.\nCollaborate with Architecture and Security teams to validate solutions and meet data protection requirements.\nAct as a technical resource for questions related to architecture, code, and scripts.\nReview designs and code to ensure quality, security, and compliance with established standards.\nDevelop unit, integration, and regression tests.\nContribute to improving continuous integration and delivery practices, as well as automating development and deployment activities.\nOrganize and support production releases.\nProvide Level 1 support and maintenance, while also resolving complex issues.\nExplain the technical and functional aspects of solutions to colleagues and stakeholders.\nWhat you bring to the table:\nMinimum 8 years of software development experience, ideally in a backend, automation, or data security environment.\nStrong experience with Python and PowerShell.\nKnowledge of Power Automate and basic knowledge of C#.\nExperience with or knowledge of several of the following technologies: Java, JavaScript, and SQL.\nStrong SQL skills and the ability to analyze and manipulate data.\nKnowledge of AWS services, including S3, Lambda, and ideally EC2.\nKnowledge of Windows Server environments.\nFamiliarity with software automation and delivery practices, including Terraform and continuous integration and delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions.\nExperience with a data analysis or classification tool; knowledge of Macy is an asset.\nExperience working in environments handling personal or sensitive information is an asset.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with Architecture, Security, and Development teams.\nAbility to advocate for a position, communicate clearly, and influence technical decisions.\nStrong analytical skills, autonomy, initiative, and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.\nNo Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.\nFor candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country\nCe poste jouera un rôle essentiel au sein de notre équipe. | This position will fill an essential role in our team.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer\nAt Intact, our Value of respect is founded on seeing diversity as a strength.
