However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.\n About the role\nWe’re looking for a Senior Underwriter, Prestige, to join our growing team! This position is hybrid role requiring a minimum of two (2) days per week in our office.\nWhat you’ll do here:\nBe customer-focused in everything you do and look for ways to improve the customer experience.\nDevelop and manage relationships with an assigned group of brokers to develop lasting and profitable relationships, which involve broker visits.\nWith a strong sales ability, develop profitable business relationships with brokers and identify opportunities to promote Intact Prestige's insurance products and increase sales.\nAttend insurance industry and marketing events: promote products and services.\nBe responsible for underwriting complex risks, making sound business decisions that contribute to profitable growth, and negotiating terms with the brokers.\nDetermine and control risk acceptance, risk improvement and declination of Prestige policies.\nAccept, reject, endorse, renew or cancel contracts following Intact Prestige's underwriting policies/procedures, applicable laws and regulations.\nReview property appraisal reports and make recommendations.\nParticipate in large loss reviews.\nIdentify and recommend efficiency and/or technology changes to improve business results and maintain competitiveness.\nWork closely and collaborate with other internal departments.\nTravel to brokers' offices as required.\n What you bring to the table:\nMinimum 5 to 7 years of prior insurance experience preferably in a High-Net-Worth environment.\nStrong sales skills with proven experience achieving key growth metrics\nProven customer service skills with strong business acumen and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with brokers\nAbility to demonstrate adaptability to change and a dynamic team environment\nAct as leader within the business unit and display the ability to engage the team\nExemplary verbal and written communication skills\nSelf-driven and able to work effectively under pressure\nDemonstrate flexibility, adaptability and resiliency\nStrong analytical and decision-making skills\nCompletion of or commitment to achieve the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation\nNo Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.\nCe poste jouera un rôle essentiel au sein de notre équipe. | This position will fill an essential role in our team.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer\nAt Intact, our Value of respect is founded on seeing diversity as a strength.
