The ideal candidate is a system-level thinker with a strong understanding of backend architecture, messaging systems, and containerized cloud deployments.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and develop backend APIs and services using Node.js.\nArchitect and manage data storage solutions with PostgreSQL / TimescaleDB, MongoDB, and Redis.\nImplement message queues and event-driven pipelines using RabbitMQ (or similar).\nBuild and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external integrations.\nEnsure data consistency and performance across time-series and transactional data systems.\nWork closely with frontend, data, and AI teams to design APIs and backend logic.\nIntegrate and optimize object storage solutions such as AWS S3 for file and telemetry management.\nImplement containerized microservices using Docker and maintain clean CI/CD workflows.\nMonitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.\nContribute to architectural discussions and help evolve system design patterns.\nRequired Skills\nStrong experience in Node.js (Restify, Expressjs, Nestjs).\nFundamental knowledge of Python.\nSolid understanding of SQL and relational database design (PostgreSQL / TimescaleDB).\nExperience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and caching layers (Redis).\nProficiency with message brokers / queues such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar.\nHands-on experience with AWS S3 or other cloud storage systems.\nWorking knowledge of Docker for microservices and container orchestration.\nExperience developing and consuming REST APIs.\nStrong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving skills.\nFamiliarity with unit testing, CI/CD, and version control (Git).\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.\nAt least 2-3+ years of experience of building APIs and data pipelines at scale.\nExperience with time-series databases.\nExposure to IoT data systems, telemetry processing, or large-scale event-driven architectures.\nFamiliarity with microservices design patterns and API gateways.\nExperience deploying services on AWS..\nKnowledge of data streaming or processing frameworks (Flink, Kafka Streams, etc.) is a plus.\nSoft Skills\nOwnership mindset with ability to work end-to-end on backend features.\nStrong collaboration skills able to work with product, data, and AI
