Working at Integer means you are part of a team passionately pursuing excellence in all that we do and always reaching for the next great achievement.\nWhat you’ll do in this role:\nAdhere to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.\nServe as the primary technical resource for material selection, characterization, qualification, and performance evaluation.\nEstablish and maintain material standards, specifications, and best practices.\nDesign and execute material characterization studies and interpret results to support engineering and manufacturing decisions.\nLead material-related problem solving, root cause investigations, and failure analyses.\nCollaborate with product development, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to resolve technical challenges and improve product performance.\nPartner with suppliers to evaluate, qualify, and develop material solutions that meet technical and business objectives.\nSupport material-related risk assessments, validation activities, and regulatory requirements as needed.\nEvaluate emerging materials and technologies and contribute to long-term technology strategies.\nPresent technical findings and recommendations to customers, suppliers, and leadership teams.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and technicians throughout the organization.\nOther duties as assigned.\nHow you will be measured:\nThe specific measures listed below may be subject to change and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list\nSafety is our highest priority; you will be an active supporter of the Integer Environmental, Health & Safety programs.\nQuality - Achievement of site Quality KPI’s\nYou will have defined Goals and Objectives specifying key projects and expected milestones to achieve.\nGiven your capabilities and experience, you will be expected to identify ways to shorten project durations and lead systemic changes to current processes and procedures that enable greater efficiencies.\nInnovation and ideation are critical aspects of your role and you will be expected to generate continuous improvement suggestions and support the implementation of them.\nYour expertise coupled with your accomplishments and collaboration with others to deliver results will also be considered.\nWhat sets you apart:\nBachelor's degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field Required. Master's degree or PhD in Materials Science preferred, Polymer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n8+ years of experience (4-6 with Master’s) in materials science, polymers, advanced manufacturing, product development, process engineering, or a related technical discipline.\nDemonstrated experience solving complex material-related technical challenges in a manufacturing, product development, or engineering environment.\nExperience serving as a technical lead, subject matter expert, or engineering mentor.\nExperience working in regulated industries or highly engineered products.\nStrong understanding of polymers, specialty materials, coatings, composites, or other advanced material systems, including polyimide, PTFE, ePTFE, oPTFE, FEP, PEEK, Pebax, nylon, polyethylene.\nExperience with material characterization and analytical techniques such as DSC, DMA, FTIR, TGA, SEM, microscopy, mechanical testing, or similar methods.\nAbility to connect material properties to product performance and manufacturing processes.\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause investigation skills.\nEffective communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.\nAbility to influence decisions and drive technical direction through expertise and leadership.\n\nOur total rewards program is designed to attract, retain, and motivate associates to contribute to Integer’s success. Our compensation program includes base salary and a cash-based incentive program supporting our pay-for-performance philosophy. Parental leave is available after one year. Optional employee-paid programs include supplemental life insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity and accident insurance.
