Every day, our colleagues are challenging what’s possible and making headway to innovate new treatment pathways to advance patient outcomes and set new standards of care.\nSUMMARY DESCRIPTION\nThe Accounting Manager will be primarily responsible for managerial oversight of the staff and activities within the general ledger account team.\nSUPERVISION RECEIVED\nUnder direct supervision of the Senior Manager, Accounting\nSUPERVISION EXERCISED\nSupervises accounting specialists and senior accountants\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nPrimary responsibilities are to:\nManage the preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, as assigned.\nRun various monthly reports used to reconcile or analyze general ledger account balances.\nReview the preparation of account analyses for internal and external reporting purposes.\nReview the preparation of the monthly financial statements and provide detailed explanations of account fluctuations.\nCommunicate with other cross functional teams including IT, Shared Services A/R and A/P, FP&A, Procurement, Customer Service, Operations, Treasury and Consolidations.\nProvide support to department heads in understanding actual versus budget departmental spend variances.\nManage the monthly financial close process for the team. Ensure that sub-ledgers are updated to general ledger accurately, completely and in a timely manner. Ensure that all required journal entries are prepared and posted to the general ledger.\nManage a team of up to 3-5 accountants. Ensure that each accountant is provided the required training and support to effectively perform their assigned tasks.\nEnsure that procedures and policies are in place to effectively reconcile all accounts on a timely basis and to comply with all stated requirements of SOX 404.\nOther tasks and special projects, as assigned.\nDESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for his position.\nEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.\nCertifications: None required, CPA/MBA a plus.\nExperience: 8+ years of corporate and/or public accounting experience, with at least 2 of those years managing a team and reviewing their work.\nStrong computer skills; Experience with ORACLE ERP systems a plus.\nDetail oriented with the ability to investigate and resolve problems.\nAbility to analyze and reconcile financial data.\nKnowledge of personal computer databases and spreadsheets.\nAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.\nEffective organizational skills.\nAbility to work well as part of a high performing team, as needed.\nAdditional details:\nThis role is hybrid between Princeton, NJ and remote. Office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.\nSalary Pay Range:\n$109,250.00 - $149,500.00 USD SalaryOur salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
