This critical role involves maintaining and servicing commercial and domestic gas systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all gas-fired plant and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across the campus.\nThe Gas Engineer will execute technical work on gas system maintenance, inspection, and emergency response, working within a high-specification technical environment that requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to stringent safety protocols.\nKey Responsibilities\nThe Gas Engineer will undertake a range of duties including maintenance, servicing, and repair of gas systems and associated equipment. This includes conducting regular plantroom and equipment inspections to ensure optimal system performance and identify any potential issues before they escalate.\nThe role involves hands-on work with high-temperature hot water (HTHW) systems, requiring specialised knowledge and experience to maintain these complex installations safely and effectively. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of all work undertaken, including training records and maintenance logs, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.\nThe Gas Engineer will respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions to minimize system downtime and maintain continuity of service.\nQualifications & Experience\nCandidates must hold current Gas Safe Registration for both commercial and domestic installations.
