Achieve your ambitions - join us at JLL Workplace Management!\nLocation: Queensgate Shopping Centre - Peterborough\nCore Hours: 08:00am - 18:00pm\nShift Pattern on Rotation:\n5 days On - 3 days off x 4\n4 days on - 4 days off x 3\nRole Overview\nAn exciting opportunity to join our team as a Fabric Maintenance Engineer at Queensgate Shopping Centre! The main purpose of the position will be to carry out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with JLL's PPM and task schedules.\nMain Duties & Responsibilities\nTechnical Maintenance Activities\nGeneral Carpentry\nFire door maintenance and repair\nWeekly fire alarm testing\nWeekly tap flushing\nAHU Cleaning & Servicing\nBasic plumbing and drainage repairs\nPatch repairs to wall and floor tiling, carpets, lino & screeds\nSuspended ceiling repairs\nShelving/racking installation and repairs\nLock changes/repairs\nPainting & Decorating\nOperational Excellence\nUndertake PPM activity in a quality, professional manner\nWork within the site's shift pattern requirements\nCarry out all works requested in a professional and proactive manner\nUndertake reactive maintenance works as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team\nManage JLL sub-contractors whilst working on site\nEscalate any major site issues or incidents to your line manager as soon as possible once noticed\nReporting & Communication\nProduction of technical and situational reports as required\nWrite activity reports in line with JLL procedures accurately and timely\nAlways communicate clearly and effectively with the rest of the team and clients\nProvide accurate time sheet information weekly and on time\nAttend team meetings/briefings as requested\nTechnology & Compliance\nProactively use the technology systems provided so that JLL can be always compliant with its contractual obligations\nProactively assist the management team to produce quotations by giving accurate and good quality information where extra works are identified\nEnsure that JLL is always presented in a good light\nEmergency Support\nProvide first line out of hours call out for the site\nHealth, Safety & Environmental\nUnderstand and be aware of the requirements of all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and be equally aware of your own roles and responsibilities within JLL\nEnsure that all materials and equipment are handled, stored, and used with due regard to the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation\nActively participate in the health and safety processes required under JLL policies and procedures including, but not limited to, accident investigation, reporting, risk assessments and auditing\nCo-operate with JLL to allow it to fulfil its moral and legal duties and obligations\nUndertake any other reasonable instruction from the Contract Manager or Line Managers\n(Additional training will be provided as necessary)\nEssential Qualifications & Experience\nTechnical Qualifications\nFabric Engineer apprenticeship/ Carpentry & Joinery qualifications\nProven post apprenticeship practical experience\nPersonal Skills\nGood communication & interpersonal skills\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff\nCommitment to providing a high-quality service to our customer\nWilling to work flexibly and as a team member\nAbility to work overtime as required\nProactive in achieving the highest standard of operation\nGood IT and report writing skills\nAbility to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time
