The FP&A Analyst plays an important part in the company’s short-term and long-term forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. This is a visible role for a self-motivated individual where you will collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.\nResponsibilities\nPerformance Measurement - Participate in the design and tracking of key performance indicators, creating budget vs. actual analyses, financial statement analysis, operating expense analysis, identifying trends/business drivers, and internal benchmarking.\nFinancial Reporting - Create ongoing management reporting for executives, the Board of Directors, and internal stakeholders; assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks, ascertain the impact on forward-looking projections, and effectively communicate these findings to senior leadership. \nBudgeting/Forecasting/Planning - Provide analytical and business support including financial statement analysis, gross margin analysis, business performance commentary, forecasting, trend identification, and strategic planning.\nIndirect Rates & Compliance - Develop, monitor, and forecast indirect rates (fringe, overhead, and G&A); support incurred cost submissions and provisional billing rate analysis; and review cost allowability under FAR Part 31 and CAS.\nPricing Support - Partner with Contracts and Business Development to provide rate and cost inputs for proposals, ensuring alignment with the annual budget.\nMonth-End Close & Variance Analysis - Support the month-end close, analyze variances to budget and forecast, and explain key drivers to leadership.\nAd Hoc Analysis - Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and scenario models to support executive decision-making.\nProcess Improvement - Identify opportunities to streamline FP&A processes and reporting, including better use of Costpoint and/or Unanet functionality.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n4+ years of progressive finance experience at a government contracting organization.\nAdvanced Excel skills, with experience building dynamic financial and operational models.\nAbility to work with large datasets, evaluate financial data, and identify business trends.\nUnderstanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).\nWorking knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) as they pertain to indirect rate structures and cost allowability.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.\nPreferred:\nAdvanced experience with Costpoint and/or Unanet.\nAdvanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, for building financial dashboards and reports.\nExperience using Power Query to automate data extraction, cleansing, and transformation.\nExperience using generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting.\nSound judgment in validating AI-generated outputs for accuracy and in safeguarding sensitive and proprietary financial data when using AI tools.\nSalary Range: $90,000 - $110,000\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline.
