The role is based in India (remote), with a primary location of Chennai, India (Remote). You will also partner closely with automation engineers, bringing working knowledge of UI and API automation to keep regression suites effective and up to date.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nOwn end-to-end QA for one or more modules/projects, from understanding requirements and defining test strategy through to final sign-off on release readiness. \n\nDesign, review, and execute high-quality manual tests (functional, integration, regression, exploratory) to ensure releases are stable and user-ready.\n\nIdentify high-value areas for automation and partner with automation engineers to keep UI and API regression suites effective and current.\n\nWhen required, contribute to and extend existing automated tests at UI and API layers using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, or similar tools.\n\nPlan and track test activities, maintain test plans and reports, and provide clear, regular updates on progress, risks, and release readiness to management.\n\nCollaborate closely with product, engineering, and support teams on grooming, sprint planning, issue triage, and root cause analysis.\n\nGuide and mentor junior QA engineers on test design, execution best practices, and basic automation concepts.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\n\n5–8 years of experience in software QA with a strong focus on manual testing.\n\nDemonstrated experience owning QA for a module or project independently (planning, execution, and reporting) in an Agile/Scrum environment.\n\nStrong skills in designing and executing: functional and integration tests, regression and smoke tests, and exploratory and scenario-based testing.\n\nHands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar).\n\nWorking knowledge of UI and API automation (e.g., Selenium/Playwright/Cypress, Postman/Rest Assured) and at least one scripting language.\n\nExperience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) for test data setup and validation.\n\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to clearly articulate status, risks, and technical details to both engineering and management stakeholders.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nNice to Have\n\nExperience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.\n\nExperience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.\n\nExperience in MarTech or AdTech
