Every day a home sits unfinished is a day it can’t be leased.\nWe’re looking for someone who understands the importance of both quality and turnaround time.\nWhat You’ll Own\nInspect vacant apartment homes and complete assigned make-ready or punch-list items\nPrepare apartments for move-in according to established community standards and timelines\nComplete general maintenance and repairs throughout vacant apartments\nPerform drywall and sheetrock repairs\nComplete touch-up painting and minor surface repairs\nRepair or replace caulking around sinks, tubs, showers, windows, and other areas\nAssist with flooring, tile, carpet, and vinyl repairs as needed\nComplete minor plumbing, electrical, appliance, hardware, and fixture repairs within the scope of the role\nReplace light bulbs, switches, fixtures, hardware, locks, and other apartment components when assigned\nInspect completed work to ensure apartments are clean, safe, functional, and ready for occupancy\nComplete required make-ready checklists and maintenance documentation\nCommunicate additional repair needs or larger maintenance concerns to the maintenance leader\nSupport occupied-unit work orders and preventive maintenance when needed\nAssist with exterior maintenance, common areas, amenities, grounds, and community projects\nHelp maintain pools, hot tubs, dog parks, recreation areas, or other amenities when assigned\nAssist with trash-outs of vacated apartments\nMaintain tools, supplies, and equipment responsibly\nFollow all company safety, maintenance, and risk-management procedures\nProvide professional and courteous service when interacting with residents, prospects, and team members\nWhat Success Looks Like\nVacant apartments are completed within expected turn timelines\nNew residents enter homes that are clean, functional, and ready for move-in\nMake-ready checklists are completed accurately\nRepairs are performed correctly the first time\nMaintenance leadership receives early communication about larger repair needs\nTools, materials, and supplies are used responsibly\nThe leasing team has an adequate supply of market-ready apartments\nCommunity appearance and maintenance standards are consistently supported\nWho This Role Is For\nSomeone who enjoys working with their hands\nA maintenance professional who takes pride in seeing a finished product\nSomeone who can work independently and stay on schedule\nA person who notices the details a new resident will notice\nA dependable team member who understands how apartment turns affect leasing and occupancy\nSomeone willing to help beyond the vacant unit when the maintenance team needs support\nQualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred\nMinimum 1 year of apartment, property, facilities, or comparable maintenance experience preferred\nPrevious multifamily make-ready or apartment-turn experience strongly preferred\nExperience with general maintenance and basic repairs\nExperience with painting, drywall, caulking, flooring, fixtures, and basic apartment repairs preferred\nBasic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or appliance-repair knowledge is a plus\nAbility to follow make-ready checklists and meet established deadlines\nStrong attention to detail\nDependable attendance and strong work ethic\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a maintenance team\nAbility to safely perform the physical requirements associated with apartment maintenance\nAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions\nCommunity-Specific Requirements\n[Bilingual English/Spanish preferred]\n[HVAC certification required/preferred]\n[EPA certification required/preferred]\n[Pool/CPO certification required/preferred]\n[Valid Driver’s License required]\n[Reliable transportation required]\n[On-call rotation required]\n[Weekend availability required]\n[Luxury/A+ multifamily experience preferred]\nWhat Sets You Apart\nYou walk into a vacant apartment and immediately see what needs attention\nYou care about both speed and quality\nYou’d rather fix something correctly than create another work order later\nYou know how to keep multiple turns organized\nYou take care of your tools and materials\nYou communicate when you find a problem outside your scope\nYou take pride in knowing a resident is about to call your finished work home\nWhy This Role\nMake Ready is one of the most visible maintenance roles in multifamily.\nThe work you complete directly affects occupancy, leasing, resident first impressions, and the overall performance of the community.\nIt’s also a strong opportunity to continue developing broader maintenance skills and grow into Maintenance Technician, Lead Maintenance, or other property-maintenance roles.\nCompensation & Benefits\nAt IREG, we invest in our people, because strong leaders build strong communities.\nFull-Time Employees receive:\nCompetitive hourly pay with growth potential\nPaid Holidays available upon hire\nZayZoon Access available immediately -
