The role combines hands‑on PLC engineering, PLC/HMI lifecycle management, and end‑to‑end project execution, ensuring automation systems and upgrades meet schedule, cost, quality, safety, and compliance requirements across their lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nAutomation, Support & Lifecycle Management\nDesign, program, support, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC systems (S7‑300/400, S7‑1200/1500) using TIA Portal / STEP 7\nDevelop, maintain, and upgrade HMI/SCADA systems using WinCC / WinCC Flexible / WinCC Unified\nProvide engineering support for PLC and HMI systems during operations, incidents, and planned maintenance\nSupport PLC and HMI lifecycle management activities, including Obsolescence management, Version upgrades and migrations, Hardware and software refreshes and Backup, recovery, and system integrity checks\nDesign and support industrial networks (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, Modbus)\nIntegrate PLC systems with instrumentation, VFDs, MCCs and packaged equipment.\nInterface PLC systems with DeltaV DCS via Profibus, VIM Serial & EIOC and OSI PI (OPC‑UA) where required.\nLead and support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and site acceptance testing\nTroubleshoot control system issues to minimize downtime and production impact\nProject Management & Vendor Coordination\nManage automation projects from concept through commissioning and handover\nPlan and execute PLC/HMI upgrade projects, including scope definition, scheduling, and risk management\nCoordinate and manage automation vendors and system integrators during upgrade and lifecycle activities\nReview vendor proposals, technical solutions, and deliverables\nTrack project schedules\nManage risks, issues, scope changes, and technical clarifications\nAct as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders and vendors\nLead project meetings, technical reviews, and upgrade planning discussions\nQuality, Compliance & Documentation\nPrepare and maintain automation documentation (control philosophy, I/O lists, lifecycle records, as‑built drawings).\nEnsure compliance with GxP, safety, data integrity, and cybersecurity expectations\nAdhere to applicable IEC, ISA, and site safety standards\nSupport on activities including validation, audits, and inspection readiness during system upgrades and changes\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline\n7–10 years' experience in industrial automation and control systems\nMinimum 2–3 years in a lead engineer or project engineer role\nStrong hands‑on experience with Siemens PLC platforms\nExperience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing preferred\nValue Added\nProject Management certification (PMP or equivalent)\nExperience with PLC/HMI upgrade programs or site lifecycle roadmaps\nIndustrial cybersecurity knowledge (e.g., IEC 62443)\nEngagement Expectations\nWorks with minimum supervision and clear accountability\nSupports site upgrades, cutovers, and commissioning activities as required\nComply with all safety, quality, and compliance requirements\nSkills\nDeltav, Tia Portal, PLC Allen
