The primary responsibility is to support the monthly financial close process by ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. The role will work closely with business partners and other Finance teams to maintain the integrity of the company's financial records while supporting day-to-day accounting operations.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMonth-End Close: Support month-end close activities by preparing and posting journal entries, reviewing financial transactions, and ensuring assigned accounting activities are completed accurately and on schedule.\nAccount Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve outstanding balances in a timely manner.\nFinancial Analysis: Assist with variance analysis and financial reporting by identifying unusual fluctuations, researching discrepancies, and supporting management reporting requirements.\nAudit Support: Support internal and external audit activities by preparing supporting schedules, providing documentation, and responding to audit requests.\nProcess Documentation: Maintain and update accounting procedures, process documentation, and work instructions to ensure they remain current and accurate.\nCollaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Procurement, HR, and other business stakeholders, to resolve accounting issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nAd-hoc: Participate in finance system implementations, upgrades, and enhancement initiatives by supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), validation activities, and issue resolution.\nQualifications:\nMinimum Qualifications:\n- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.\n- Min 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree.\n- Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems.\n- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.\n- Demonstrated analytical skills to address financial data complexities.\n- Knowledge of US GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n- Member or pursuing membership in professional accounting bodies such as CPA, ACCA, MICPA, or MIA\n- Familiarity with SAP, preferably S/4 HANA\n- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams\n- Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to dynamic environments while delivering results\n- Experience in project management and process improvement initiatives\n- Passion for leveraging technology to drive financial efficiency and innovation.\n- This will be a 12 month contract role.\nJob Type:\nIntel Contract EmployeeShift:\nShift 1 (Malaysia)Primary Location:\nMalaysia, PenangAdditional Locations:\nPosting Statement:\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, religious creed, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, military and veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by local law, regulation, or ordinance.Position of Trust\nN/AWork Model for this Role\nThis role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.*\nADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Intel is committed to Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) compliance and ethical hiring practices.
