The ideal candidate is a quick learner, results-oriented, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment.\nAs a Lead Cloud Software Development Engineer, you will play a strategic technical leadership role in developing and scaling Intel's software tools and ecosystem. The position focuses on the architecture, development, validation, maintenance, and debugging of cloud-scale fleet diagnostics, telemetry, quality screening, and customer health monitoring software. You will provide technical leadership across architecture, software development, platform validation, manufacturing, and customer engineering organizations while helping define the future roadmap for fleet health capabilities supporting Intel Xeon products.\nResponsibilities\nLead the architecture, design, and development of screening software capabilities supporting customer fleet health initiatives.\nDefine technical direction and software roadmaps for cloud-scale telemetry, health monitoring, quality screening, and diagnostics solutions.\nDesign scalable software platforms supporting customer fleet operations, deployment readiness, reliability analytics, and quality initiatives.\nDrive cross-functional technical execution across architecture, platform validation, manufacturing, and customer engineering teams.\nLead development of customer-consumable software capabilities providing visibility into platform state, telemetry, hardware health indicators, and Intel Architecture internals.\nAnalyze large-scale telemetry, reliability, and quality datasets to identify defect signatures, platform health trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement.\nPartner directly with hyperscale cloud customers and strategic partners to understand fleet requirements and drive software solutions.\nLead root-cause investigations and create scalable screening methodologies for validation and customer environments.\nDrive automation, observability, analytics, and infrastructure improvements that improve fleet monitoring and operational efficiency.\nMentor engineers and provide technical guidance across software architecture, diagnostics, telemetry, and platform health domains.\nCollaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to ensure successful deployment of fleet health capabilities across current and future Intel Xeon platforms.\nInfluence long-term software strategy and customer quality initiatives across development, validation, and in-fleet operations.\nCandidate Profile\nThe successful candidate should bring a combination of:\nLeadership and software architecture expertise in C/C++ and Python.\nDeep understanding of Intel Xeon platforms, server architecture, and processor microarchitecture.\nExperience designing and scaling cloud-native telemetry, diagnostics, and observability solutions.\nExpertise in fleet-scale monitoring, quality analytics, reliability engineering, and customer health solutions.\nHardware/software debug, validation, and root-cause analysis skills.\nCustomer-focused engineering mindset with ability to translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.\nInfluence across architecture, platform, validation, manufacturing, and customer enablement organizations.\nExperience leading large-scale Data Center and Xeon server software initiatives.\nCommunication, mentoring, and technical leadership capabilities.\nOperate effectively in highly dynamic environments while driving long-term technical strategy and execution.\nCommunication and technical leadership skills.\nThis position is a fixed-term opportunity lasting approximately 24 months.\nQualifications:\nMinimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
