Intel is an American semiconductor company founded in 1968 by Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore and headquartered in Santa Clara, California. It created the x86 instruction set that still underpins most personal computers and servers, and designs and manufactures processors, chipsets, discrete graphics, networking silicon and AI accelerators. Unlike most of its competitors the company owns its fabrication plants, and it is investing heavily in Intel Foundry to manufacture chips for external customers while rebuilding its process technology leadership.

Travel & Collaboration: This role requires close collaboration with teams and stakeholders across the United States and Japan. Occasional international travel may be required.

Position Overview

Intel is seeking a highly motivated Sustainability and Program Integration Operations Engineer to support the Semiconductor Assembly Test Automation Standardization (SATAS) Program.

This U.S.-based ICE role will provide integrated program execution, operating cadence, technical coordination, dashboard ownership, and cross-swimlane alignment across Intel teams, Japan-based partners, equipment suppliers, and external stakeholders.

The role is intended to help the SATAS leadership team maintain execution discipline across weekly operating mechanisms, swimlane ownership, partner coordination, risks, milestones, and program deliverables.

Role Intent and Scope:

  • Serve as the primary program integration and operations owner for SATAS execution cadence and cross-functional coordination.
  • Own the SATAS weekly sync, Intel SATAS synergy meeting, integrated action tracking, meeting follow-through, and operational dashboard.
  • Coordinate across swimlane owners, Intel Japan stakeholders, U.S. stakeholders, suppliers, and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Support sustainability, operational readiness, and program integration activities across process equipment, AMHS, automation, standards, safety, and pilot-line readiness swimlanes.
  • Provide technical program management depth in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, automation systems, process equipment, and pilot-line integration environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Integration and Execution
  • Drive cross-swimlane integration across SATAS process cells, tester/handler, main frame/infrastructure, pilot line integration, AMHS, media, automation stack, standards, safety, operational procedures, and sustainability activities focused on energy consumption reduction and waste reduction.
  • Maintain the integrated SATAS program plan, execution dashboard, milestone tracker, dependency map, action register, risks, issues, and decision log.
  • Identify cross-functional gaps, ownership ambiguities, schedule risks, and escalation needs across internal and external swimlanes.
  • Coordinate follow-up with swimlane owners and partner teams to ensure commitments are documented, tracked, and closed.
  • Prepare concise program updates, executive summaries, and review materials for SATAS leadership and stakeholder meetings.

Operating Cadence and Meeting Ownership

  • Own the weekly SATAS sync meeting agenda, pre-read collection, meeting notes, action items, decision tracking, and follow-up communications.
  • Own the Intel SATAS synergy meeting operating mechanism to improve alignment across Intel stakeholders and related SATAS activities.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders and swimlane owners to ensure dependencies, deliverables, status updates, and open issues are visible and actionable.
  • Support preparation for monthly reviews, quarterly reviews, partner updates, and leadership briefings.
  • Establish repeatable templates, operating mechanisms, and documentation practices to improve program execution discipline.

Technical Coordination and Pilot-Line Readiness

  • Work with equipment, automation, process engineering, systems integration, safety, facility, and standards owners to support pilot-line readiness planning.
  • Support integration planning across semiconductor manufacturing equipment, AMHS, MES/MCS/SC, machine controls, pilot-line test/qualification, servers/PCs/network, and related infrastructure.
  • Help translate technical swimlane status into program-level risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and escalation items.
  • Support alignment between technical deliverables and overall SATAS program objectives, schedules, and stakeholder commitments.

Sustainability and Operational Excellence

  • Coordinate and drive the sustainability swimlane roadmap, deliverables, tracking, and integration into the broader SATAS program plan across all equipment sets.
  • Support energy consumption measurement activity coordination, energy consumption reduction and waste reduction metrics, and operational improvement activities as applicable to SATAS scope.
  • Promote structured execution practices, clear ownership, action tracking, risk management, and continuous improvement across program operations.

Behavioral Competencies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences, including technical teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Experience working effectively across global teams and multiple time zones.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across global organizations and external partners.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
  • 7+ years of experience in technical program management, semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, factory automation, systems integration, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading complex cross-functional programs and driving alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment development and deployment.
  • Proven experience managing integrated schedules, milestones, risks, mitigation, dependencies, and executive-level reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with CAD tools, data analysis, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments, including assembly, test, packaging, substrate manufacturing, and factory operations, with strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, process equipment, and pilot-line integration.
  • Knowledge of equipment development, equipment integration, factory automation, pilot-line startup, or manufacturing readiness activities.
  • Experience collaborating with equipment suppliers, development partners, research institutions, industry consortiums, or government-funded technology programs.
  • Strong proficiency in developing executive dashboards, program management tools, risk registers, action trackers, and decision logs.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, energy-efficiency programs, operational excellence, and manufacturing productivity improvements.
  • Knowledge of SEMI standards, equipment interoperability, safety compliance, and semiconductor factory integration best practices.
