The role drives power and thermal optimization through workload analysis, characterization across voltage and temperature conditions, thermal solution validation, and collaboration with architecture, design, verification, and platform teams. The engineer develops thermal validation methodologies, conducts thermal characterization across operating conditions, identifies thermal gaps and optimization opportunities, and helps drive next-generation product thermal design and performance.Key Responsibilities\nDevelop and execute power and thermal validation plans.\nPerform silicon characterization across voltage, process, and temperature corners.\nDrive power and thermal optimization through detailed workload analysis.\nValidate thermal solutions and thermal management features.\nConduct root cause analysis and design experiments for thermal issues.\nDevelop validation methodologies and infrastructure, including:\nPerformance monitors\nBehavioral checkers\nCoverage and test frameworks\nExecute failure analysis and troubleshoot silicon issues.\nPartner with architecture, design, verification, and platform teams to improve product quality and meet product specifications.\nQualifications:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.\n6+ years of experience in silicon power and thermal validation with a Bachelor's degree, 4+ years with a Master's degree, or 2+ years with a PhD.\n3+ years of experience with post-silicon validation and debug of CPU, SoC, or server-class products.\n3+ years of experience performing thermal characterization, thermal data collection, and workload-based thermal analysis.\nExperience developing or maintaining validation tools, automation, or infrastructure for silicon validation and characterization.\nExperience analyzing thermal telemetry, sensor data, and characterization results to identify and debug silicon or platform issues.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related technical field.\nExperience with server, data center, or high-performance computing products.\nExperience with thermal solution validation, thermal management technologies, or thermal algorithm characterization.\nExperience collaborating with architecture, design, firmware, software, platform, and manufacturing teams throughout product development.\nExperience developing data analysis, reporting, or validation automation solutions using scripting or programming languages.\nJoin Intel's Power and Thermal Validation team and help drive the validation and optimization of next-generation computing platforms.
