DCG focuses on delivering cutting-edge products and services that power cloud computing, enterprise data centers, and AI workloads, contributing to Intel's vision of a smarter, connected world.\nKey Responsibilities\n- Kernel and Virtualization Development: Contribute directly to the development, upstreaming, optimization, and bug-fixing of Linux kernel subsystems, drivers, or hypervisor virtualization stacks.\n- Performance Optimization and Benchmarking: Conduct hands-on benchmarking, performance profiling, and latency analysis of the cloud Linux software stack, identifying bottlenecks to optimize system throughput.\n- Test Automation and Validation: Design, write, and execute robust unit and integration test cases to validate kernel and virtualization software on pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms.\nQualifications:\nMinimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 0-1 years of hands-on experience with demonstrated skills gained through internships, academic projects, coursework or hands-on training OR a Master's degree in relevant field with no prior professional experience.\n- Systems Programming Proficiency: Strong programming foundation in C or Rust with a deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, memory management, and concurrency.\n- Operating Systems Concepts: Solid theoretical and practical understanding of OS internals, including process management, scheduling, virtual memory, interrupts, and synchronization primitives.\n- Development Tools: Direct experience working in a Linux/Unix environment, including familiarity with system utilities, shell scripting (Bash, Python), and version control systems like Git.\nPreferred Qualifications\n- Linux kernel/driver/community experience\n- Work with AI on coding and code review, debugging, and performance analysis.\n- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\n- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities to thrive in a team-oriented environment.\n- Enthusiasm for learning and exploring new technologies in system software engineering.\nTake the first step toward building an exciting career with Intel.
