The successful candidate will contribute to the design, deployment, and operation of next-generation compute platforms supporting product development, validation, and production workloads.\nIn this role, you will work across operating systems, firmware, cluster management, software distribution, infrastructure automation, containerized environments, and AI-assisted development workflows. You will help build scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions that enable engineering teams to rapidly develop, validate, and deploy complex software and hardware platforms.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong Linux administration expertise with software development, automation, and distributed systems experience. Experience operating large-scale HPC or AI environments, managing software distribution through RPM repositories and Lmod modules, and leveraging modern AI development tools is highly desirable.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, deploy, automate, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems across development, validation, and production environments.\nDevelop infrastructure automation and CI/CD solutions using Ansible, Python, Bash, Jenkins, Git, and related DevOps technologies.\nDeploy, configure, and support large-scale AI/HPC clusters using Warewulf, HPCM, Kubernetes, and related virtualization and orchestration technologies.\nManage software packaging and deployment using RPM repositories, dependency management, Lmod, and automated distribution across compute environments.\nImplement infrastructure observability, reliability, and security solutions, including ELK, vulnerability remediation, patching, and system hardening.\nLead complex system integration and root-cause debugging across hardware, firmware, BMC/openBMC, Linux, networking, middleware, and applications.\nDrive end-to-end platform integration and validation, partnering across hardware, firmware, software, validation, security, and infrastructure teams.\nLeverage AI-assisted development and agentic workflows to accelerate infrastructure development, automation, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency.\nQualifications:\nThe Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / or schoolwork/classes/research. The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.\n3+ years of experience administering, integrating, and troubleshooting Linux systems in enterprise or distributed computing environments.\n3+ years of experience developing software, automation, or infrastructure solutions using Python and/or Bash.\nExperience developing infrastructure automation using configuration management technologies such as Ansible.\nExperience with RPM-based Linux distributions, package management, and software repositories.\nExperience with CI/CD and software development workflows using Jenkins, Git, or equivalent technologies.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting HPC, AI, GPU, or large-scale distributed compute and validation environments.\nExperience provisioning and managing multi-node Linux clusters using Warewulf, HPCM, xCAT, Bright Cluster Manager, Slurm, or equivalent technologies.\nExperience building and deploying custom Linux OS images, RPM packages, and enterprise software repositories using Satellite, Pulp, Nexus, Artifactory, or similar solutions.\nExperience managing compiler, library, middleware, AI framework, and application environments using Lmod, Environment Modules, or equivalent software environment management technologies.\nExperience with containerization, orchestration, and virtualization, including Kubernetes, Docker, KVM, VMware, or OpenStack.\nExperience with systems observability, platform security, and firmware integration, including ELK, security patching, vulnerability remediation, OS hardening, and openBMC.\nExperience using AI-assisted development and agentic workflows to accelerate software development, infrastructure automation, debugging, or operational tasks using GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar technologies.\nBehavioral Traits\nThe successful candidate should demonstrate the following:\nStrong analytical, system-debugging, and problem-solving skills.\nPassion for automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.\nAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively across engineering disciplines and cross-functional teams.\nStrong ownership, accountability, and a continuous-learning mindset toward emerging technologies.\nWe invite you to bring your expertise, creativity, and passion to Intel to build innovative infrastructure solutions that make a tangible impact.
