Our vision is clear: to deliver fast, accurate, and reliable service powered by cutting-edge technology.\nYour Role: At the Heart of the Chain\nSalary Range\n$81,376.00 - $101,719.50.\nKey Responsibilities\nHands-On Maintenance (Primary Responsibility)\nPerform preventative maintenance (PM) on sorters, conveyors, and associated systems\nExecute corrective maintenance (CM) to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues\nRespond to and resolve emergency maintenance (EM) events and breakdowns\nTroubleshoot system issues to minimize downtime and improve reliability\nPerform inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and component replacements\nSupport system startups, shutdowns, and testing after maintenance activities\nSpend the majority of time on the floor performing maintenance work alongside technicians\nTeam Leadership & Coordination\nTrain, coach, and support maintenance technicians\nAssign and coordinate daily maintenance tasks\nEnsure proper execution of PM schedules and maintenance standards\nAct as the technical point of contact for technicians during shifts\nPromote safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety procedures\nMaintenance Planning & Execution\nPlan and prioritize maintenance activities based on system needs and operational impact\nEnsure PM compliance and completion\nMaintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability\nInventory & Spare Parts Management\nManage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components\nTrack usage and maintain appropriate inventory levels\nIdentify critical spare parts to reduce downtime\nProcurement & Vendor Coordination\nReview and approve purchase orders (POs) for maintenance parts and services\nCoordinate with vendors and contractors when external support is required\nEnsure timely procurement of necessary materials\nContinuous Improvement & Reliability\nIdentify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions\nImprove maintenance procedures and standards\nSupport reliability improvements across sorters and conveyor systems\nOperations Interface & Communication\nAct as the primary point of contact between Operations and Maintenance\nTranslate operational issues into clear technical actions\nCommunicate downtime, risks, and maintenance activities to Operations\nAlign maintenance priorities with operational needs and sort schedules\nSupport live operations by rapidly diagnosing and resolving issues\nParticipate in daily operational meetings and shift handovers\nQualifications & Skills\nQualifications\n Certificate of Qualification in one of the following Ontario trades:Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) - 433A\nElectromechanical Technician or equivalent experience\n\nMinimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience maintaining automated equipment (sorters, conveyors, or similar systems)\nPost-secondary education in electromechanics, industrial maintenance, or related field (asset)\nTechnical Skills\nStrong hands-on experience with:Conveyor systems and automated sortation equipment\nMechanical systems (bearings, drives, belts, alignment)\nElectrical systems (motors, sensors, control panels)\nBasic PLC troubleshooting\n\nAbility to:Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings\nDiagnose and resolve issues quickly in a live environment\nPerform PM, CM, and EM independently\n\nLeadership & Work Style\nProven ability to lead by example in a hands-on environment\nStrong communication skills across technical and operations teams\nAbility to prioritize in a fast-paced, production-driven environment\nComfortable working autonomously while coordinating a team\nWork Environment & Expectations\nComfortable working in a high-paced automated facility\nMust be available to support early-start operations and variable shifts\nStrong on-floor presence with rapid response to operational issues\nRole Expectations\nThis is a hands-on role, not a purely supervisory position\nThe Team Lead is expected to actively perform maintenance work daily\nSuccess requires balancing:Technical execution\nTeam coordination\nOperational alignment\n\nStrong presence on the floor during operations is critical\nWhy Join Intelcom | Dragonfly?\nShort- and medium-term growth opportunities\n\nComprehensive group insurance\n\nGroup RRSP program\n\nEmployee Assistance Program…\n\nThis position has been opened to address a genuine organizational need within the company.\nAt Intelcom | Dragonfly, we move forward together.
