Node.js Developer

We are looking for a skilled Node.js Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using Node.js and related technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js .
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Implement authentication, authorisation, and API security best practices.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance.
• Write unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other team members.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Deploy and maintain applications in cloud or production environments.
• Follow software development best practices, coding standards, and version-control workflows.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js .
• Good understanding of Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
• Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Strong knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar databases.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, promises, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of API authentication methods such as JWT/OAuth.
• Familiarity with debugging, testing, and performance optimisation.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle and coding best practices.
