You will work closely with executives, business leaders, data teams, and technology stakeholders to establish governance frameworks that improve trust, transparency, compliance, and organisational capability.\nYou will help organisations strengthen the foundations required to support modern data platforms, analytics programs, and AI initiatives by improving data ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata management, and governance operating models.\nThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and can confidently engage stakeholders from the boardroom through to operational teams.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models aligned to organisational objectives\nEstablish governance structures, roles, and accountability models that improve ownership and decision-making across business and technology teams\nDefine and implement data stewardship frameworks, governance forums, and operating rhythms that support sustainable governance practices\nSupport organisations in improving data quality, metadata management, lineage, and information management capabilities\nDevelop governance controls and processes that enable trusted analytics, reporting, and AI adoption\nFacilitate stakeholder workshops, governance councils, and working groups to drive alignment and engagement\nCollaborate with business, risk, compliance, legal, and technology teams to ensure governance requirements are embedded into delivery practices\nSupport the implementation and adoption of governance tooling including data catalogues, metadata platforms, and lineage solutions\nDevelop governance roadmaps, maturity assessments, and capability uplift initiatives\nProvide trusted advisory services to senior stakeholders and contribute to governance strategy development\nMentor client teams and contribute to Intelligen's governance capability growth and thought leadership \nCore Principles for This Role\nTrust Through Governance: Creating confidence in data through practical governance, transparency, accountability, and stewardship.\nBusiness Enablement: Viewing governance as an enabler of better decisions, innovation, and business outcomes rather than simply a compliance activity.\nJudgment Under Ambiguity: The ability to navigate complexity, balance competing priorities, and provide clear direction when requirements are evolving.\nInfluence Without Authority: Building alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and creating momentum through collaboration, credibility, and trust.\nValue Creation: Ensuring governance initiatives deliver measurable improvements in data quality, compliance, operational effectiveness, and decision-making. \nRequirements\nWhat We're Looking For\n6+ years' experience in data governance, information management, data management, or consulting roles\nProven experience designing and implementing governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models\nStrong understanding of governance disciplines including data quality, metadata management, lineage, stewardship, master data, and information lifecycle management\nExperience supporting enterprise data transformation, analytics, cloud, or AI initiatives\nFamiliarity with industry frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and related governance methodologies\nExperience with governance platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Attaccama, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, or similar technologies\nStrong stakeholder management and facilitation skills across business and technical audiences\nAbility to balance governance requirements with practical delivery outcomes\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for executive and operational stakeholders\nConsulting experience within large enterprise or regulated environments is highly regarded\nNice to Have\nExperience supporting responsible AI, AI governance, or AI risk management initiatives\nExperience within financial services, government, utilities, healthcare, telecommunications, or other regulated industries\nExposure to modern data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, AWS, or GCP\nCertification in DAMA, CDMP, DCAM, or related governance disciplines \nBenefits\nWhy Intelligen?\nWe're not just delivering AI and data projects.
