You will provide both technical and people leadership while guiding a multidisciplinary engineering team through all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept through manufacturing and ongoing product support. We want this person to have passion for the following:\nLove building prototypes, concepts, and bringing finished products to market to scale\nLove RFID, Blue Tooth Low Energy (BLE), NFC, and other related types of technologies\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nEngineering Leadership & Team Development\nLead, mentor, and develop a team consisting of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.\nProvide coaching, performance management, and career development support.\nEstablish engineering priorities, allocate resources, and balance workloads.\nPartner with leadership on hiring, workforce planning, and succession planning.\nProduct Development & Technical Leadership\nProvide technical oversight for design, development, verification, and release activities.\nReview and approve engineering designs, specifications, and documentation.\nDrive innovation and identify product and technology improvements.\nProject & Portfolio Management\nManage engineering projects from conception through production.\nDevelop project plans and risk mitigation strategies.\nCommunicate project status and priorities to stakeholders.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Product, and Customer Success teams.\nSupport customer-facing technical discussions and investigations.\nQuality & Regulatory Compliance\nEnsure compliance with Intelliguard QMS requirements.\nSupport ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards and audits.\nWe Would Love To Hear From You, If:\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.\n7+ years of engineering experience in product development, manufacturing, or related environments.\n2+ years of leadership experience managing engineers, technical teams, or engineering projects.\nStrong understanding of mechanical and electrical system design and development.\nProficiency with SolidWorks and other relevant engineering design tools.\nStrong knowledge of manufacturing principles including BOMs, work instructions, workflow analysis, and value stream mapping.\nExperience managing complex engineering projects and cross-functional teams.\nExperience working in regulated environments such as ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMedical device experience.\nExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nExperience with electromechanical product development.\nWhy You Should Join Us:\nGenerous Paid Time Off (Flex PTO, 10 paid sick days, 10 paid holidays)\nMedical, Dental, Vision Plans\n401K with Employer Match\nLife/AD&D and Long-Term Disability (LTD)\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\nVoluntary Life/AD&D Optional Plans\nParental Leave\nPet Plan\nTo play a part in helping hospitals and health systems continuously improve the environment of safety around every medication decision!\nOther Information:\nHybrid role in Columbus, OH (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)\nRelocation assistance is NOT available for this role.\nThe essential functions of the job are usually performed in an office setting, in an indoor, temperature controlled environment.
