The candidate should have deep expertise in Playwright, practical exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP), and experience using AI - assisted development/testing tools. The role requires an automation - heavy engineer capable of building and maintaining scalable automation across UI, API and CI/CD workflows.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.\n\n- Build scalable automation using Page Object Model (POM), fixtures, hooks and reusable utilities.\n\n- Develop and maintain automated functional, integration and regression suites.\n\n- Work with advanced Playwright capabilities including network interception, API mocking, parallel execution, retries, traces and cross - browser execution.\n\n- Perform API testing using Postman and integrate API validations into automated workflows.\n\n- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or equivalent.\n\n- Leverage AI - assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor or equivalent for automation development, debugging, test generation and failure analysis.\n\n- Work with MCP (Model Context Protocol) within AI - assisted testing/engineering workflows.\n\n- Perform database/backend validation using SQL where required.\n\n- Analyse automation failures, identify root causes and continuously improve framework reliability.\n\nMandatory Skills :\n\n- 4 - 7 years of overall QA / Test Automation experience.\n\n- Minimum 2+ years hands - on production experience with Playwright; 2 - 3 years preferred.\n\n- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript.\n\n- Strong Playwright framework development/maintenance experience.\n\n- Strong understanding of POM, fixtures, hooks, locators, waits, assertions and reusable framework components.\n\n- Practical MCP / Model Context Protocol exposure.\n\n- Hands - on usage of AI - assisted development/testing tools such as Copilot, Claude, Cursor or similar.\n\n- Strong API/Postman testing experience with automation/integration exposure.\n\n- Hands - on experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.\n\n- Candidate should be automation - heavy in recent projects, rather than predominantly manual testing.\n\nGood to Have :\n\n- Selenium/Java\n\n- REST Assured\n\n- Cucumber/BDD\n\n- SQL\n\n- Docker\n\n- JMeter/K6, cloud platforms, BrowserStack/LambdaTest and exposure to RAG/vector - database - based AI testing are advantageous.\n\nCandidate Profile We Want :\n\nWe need someone who can confidently explain what they personally built, particularly around Playwright framework architecture, POM, fixtures/hooks, network interception, API/Postman, CI/CD, AI - assisted automation and MCP.
