A passion for food, wine, and creating memorable guest experiences is essential.\nMain Responsibilities:\nGreet guests warmly and professionally in accordance with service standards.\nProvide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.\nUnderstand the full sequence of service and anticipate guest needs.\nMaintain detailed knowledge of table allocations, dietary requirements, allergies, and special requests using the daily service sheet.\nCommunicate all guest food requirements or allergies clearly to the kitchen team.\nDemonstrate complete knowledge of the food and wine menus to confidently assist and guide guests.\nHandle non-menu requests from guests, accommodating where possible.\nRecommend dishes, wines, and beverages, promoting menu items to enhance the dining experience.\nAddress guest complaints and comments professionally, escalating when necessary.\nStay updated on daily functions and special events to ensure readiness and seamless service.\nClear, clean, and reset tables in accordance with quality standards.\nAssist with general cleaning tasks such as polishing cutlery, glassware, and cleaning service areas.\nSupport stock-taking activities as needed.\nRestock fridges and bar areas following FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures.\nAssist with event set-ups, including picnics, braais, conferences, and other special functions.\nAccurately record transactions using the POS system (Easipos or similar).\n Experience & Skills Required:M0inimum of 2 years’ waitering experience in a high-end fine dining environment (hotel restaurant experience preferred).\nStrong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and general beverage service.\nProficiency in POS systems (Easipos preferred).\nConfident in up-selling techniques.\nExcellent time management and attention to detail.\nStrong problem-solving skills and a guest-first mindset.\nAbility to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.\n Minimum
