Identifying operational issues and ensuring production meets deadlines. Monitor and implement the methods and responsibilities for the highest safe food and quality products complying with prescribed standards related to SQF (Safety Quality Food) code Ed. 9, ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) requirements. \n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nB.S./MS degree in Engineering with emphasis in Business/technical/Engineering or equivalent experience in related fields.\nTen years of experience in PET extrusion and Thermoforming supervision or related field.\nSupervisory experience, a plus.\nGood analytical & planning skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with production operators (plant), marketing and purchasing.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.\nWorking knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and production reporting software.\nEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.\nCapable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\nProcess Safety Management (PSM): Ensure process operations follow approved safety procedures and applicable process safety requirements.\nPerform trial run to (1) improve existing process / product / formulation (2) develop new process / product / formulation, including new resins.\nLead the New Product Development (NPD) process to successfully turn original ideas and market opportunities into finished, sellable products.\nSubmit recommendation report to manager for approval, if necessary.\nSet up product specifications and formulations according to trial run or study of customer requirements competitor’s data. \nUpdate procedures and specifications of the Technical department.\nSet up/update S.O.C (standard operating conditions) and S.O.P (standing operating procedure).\nManage and schedule production.\nUpdate training material and train production technician.\nProcess support and troubleshooting at production. \nTechnical service/support to marketing and customer.\nCustomer complaint response.\nRaw materials and master batch selection and qualification upon manager’s approval.\nPreparation of resin.\nCommunicate with raw material vendors regarding technical issues with raw materials.\nUse of AS400 system to maintain formula coding system.\nTechnical service/support to marketing and customer, and update regulation mandates.\nCarry out job duties and projects assigned by Plant Manager. May serve as ISO/SQF internal auditor.\nSupport and enforce all plant safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.\nPromote a strong safety culture by ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all personnel assigned to the production department.\nAssist in supervising daily production operations and provide direct leadership, guidance, and performance management for production personnel.\nCoordinate production activities to ensure efficient manufacturing of PET products while meeting production schedules and operational targets.\nSupport the achievement of plant quality, productivity, and efficiency objectives by ensuring compliance with established operating procedures and quality standards.\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned to support plant operations and business objectives.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:\nInside environmental conditions, protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.\nSubject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to be heard above the noise level.\nSubject to vibration, exposure fluctuating movements of the body.\nInside and outside environments apply\nManufacturing environment\n\nAUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING:\nAssumes responsibility of Departments in absence of Plant Manager.\nSchedule overtime.\nReview employee time\nSafety\nTHM\nQuality\n\nMACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:\nElectronic & mechanical devices\ncommunication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.\nRepetitive motions, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
