This is a hands-on, floor-based position requiring daily interaction with employees, supervisors, and managers in production, warehouse, maintenance, and shipping operations. This position will spend a significant portion of each day on the manufacturing floor identifying hazards, observing work practices, coaching employees, investigating incidents, and ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed.\nExcellent Benefits Offering\nFREE access to On-Site Doctor\n10 paid holidays\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation – associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health and safety, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.\nExperience – One or more years of experience in a safety related role.\nPrefer previous work history in a manufacturing setting.\nEnsure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.\nCapable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\nMaintain a strong, visible presence on the manufacturing floor and throughout the facility.\nConduct daily safety observations, inspections, and audits to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors.\nWork directly with employees and supervisors to correct hazards and improve safe work practices.\nAssist with employee safety training, new employee safety orientations, and safety meetings.\nMonitor compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and required PPE.\nAssist with safety programs including Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, hazard communication, powered industrial trucks, ergonomics, and emergency response.\nPromote employee reporting of hazards, unsafe conditions, and near misses.\nParticipate in and support safety committee activities and employee safety initiatives.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:\nMust be able to work in heat/humidity in summer months.\n\nPHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:\nWalk and stand for extended periods throughout a large manufacturing facility.\nRegularly work on the production floor, in warehouse areas, and around manufacturing equipment.\nClimb stairs and access various work areas as needed.\nWear required personal protective equipment.\nWork around moving equipment, forklifts, machinery, noise, and other typical manufacturing conditions.\n\nVISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:\nAbility to see details at close range.
