For more information about The Vacation Group click here.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for recording daily deposit information in the accounts receivable system for cash/checks received. Monitors and reviews all documents, especially deposits and AR invoices for accounts receivable to ensure required information is received and entered in the accounting system on a timely basis. Reconcile supplier commission payments to our booking tracking tools (AgentMate & Trams), research all discrepancies with travel associates, and respond to inquiries from internal and external parties. Creates Accounts receivable invoices weekly, to include payment follow up, collection emails to suppliers and maintain AR invoice spreadsheet. Provide accounts payable backup when needed. This position interacts with all levels of employees and must develop and maintain productive relationships.\nResponsible for the full A/R cycle to include, but not limited to:Review and accurate processing of commission receivables.\nReconcile commissions to AgentMate and Trams (our Travel Back Office systems) to ensure all commissions are received and balanced (bookings netting to zero) and/or research discrepancies with Travel Associates as needed to clear open items. \nCreate AR invoices on a weekly basis.\nReview and accurate processing of cash receipts including checks, credit card and wire payments. \nResearch and resolve customer issues as required.\nReview and accurate processing of credit card client transactions in AgentMate.\nAll functions above are managed on 3 systems (Netsuite/ AgentMate/Travcom) and reconciled at month-end to ensure financial data are complete. \nAssist with AR marketing invoice collection process.\n\nProcess weekly agent commission for Centralization Desk Program\nReview, input and process Accounts Payable vendors/supplier bills as a backup when needed.\nAssist with accounts receivable management and collection process.\nWork closely with various department heads to ensure revenue is accounted for appropriately.\nOther special projects and ad hoc support as required.\nQualifications\nBachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.\nMinimum two years of progressive accounting experience to include accounts receivable and accounts payable.\nAgentMate and Trams, travel back office management experience highly preferred \nNetsuite experience preferred\nCommission payments/receipts and reconciliation of Travel Bookings preferred\nMust be a self-motivated team player, organized, detail oriented.\nAbility to effectively multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines \nAbility to adapt to new assignments in a fast-paced environment\nAbility to solve problems and work independently.\nAbility to perform tasks with minimum supervision.\nAbility to communicate with customers and vendors, both in writing and verbally, in a clear, professional manner.\nMust be proficient in MS Office with an emphasis on MS Excel\nCredit card processing knowledge preferred\nTravel Industry experience preferred\nPay and Benefits\nOur benefit offerings include medical insurance, meal tickets, transportation allowance, paid time off, discounted employee travel options, access to LinkedIn Learning webinars and courses.\nThe salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a range based on the local market where the candidate would be working.
