As a Laboratory Assistant, you’ll gain hands-on experience, work alongside skilled professionals, and take your first step toward a rewarding, purpose-driven career in diagnostic services.\nPay: Starting at $20.90 (including night shift differential); commensurate with experience and education \nSchedule: Full-time (nigh shift); Monday - Friday 10:30pm - 7am\nBenefits\nMedical, Dental, Vision with In-Network & Custom Network discounts\n401(K) with discretionary employer match\nPaid Time Off\nFree clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house\nWhat You’ll Do\n Support Lab Operations: Assist Medical Technologists (MTs) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) with a range of laboratory procedures.\nOperate Equipment: Use automated instruments, electronic systems, and precision tools; provide basic troubleshooting as needed.\nEnsure Quality: Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance initiatives.\nAdministrative Tasks: Maintain accurate documentation, answer phones professionally, and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.\nSafety First: Follow established safety and infection control protocols.\nAdapt and Grow: Take on new duties as operational needs evolve and gain valuable experience for future advancement.\nReliability: Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.\n\nWho You Are\nDependable, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy.\nSkilled at multitasking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.\nA collaborative team player who communicates effectively with others.\nEager to learn new technology, laboratory processes, and procedures.\nInterested in building a long-term career and maintaining a dependable schedule.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred.\nDemonstrated reliable attendance and a consistent work history.\nAbility to reliably commute to the work location and work the assigned schedule.\nFamiliarity with patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines preferred.\nPrevious night-shift experience is a plus.\nPhysical Requirements\nMobility: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.\nManual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle lab instruments and computer systems.\nLifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.\nVision & Hearing: Ability to read and interpret data, identify specimens, and communicate clearly in person and by phone.\nFlexibility: Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to access equipment or supplies.\nAttention to Detail: Sustained concentration for accurate specimen handling and testing.\nOSHA Category: This position involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues.
