Consistently ranked as Canada’s most reputable financial technology brand, Interac is deeply embedded in the daily lives of Canadians.\nWho You Will Work With:\nReporting to the Senior Principal, Enterprise Architect, the Technical Analyst Intern will work cross functionally with the Enterprise Architecture Practice and Governance teams to build experiences, deliver real solutions and support with improving Interac’s architecture practice.\nWhat You Will Do:\nDeveloping proof-of-concept solutions for the architecture practice, including automation and Confluence add-ons\nCreate and Update Standards and Patterns\nConducting analysis of the existing architecture practice processes\nBuilding out reports for the Enterprise Architecture and Governance team \nPerforming interviews with key individuals to understand opportunities to improve the Architecture Practice \nWorking with the agile team to support the delivery of enhancements to Interac’s technology & platforms \nSupporting various solution initiatives with a dedicated agile team\nWhat You Bring:\nYou are currently enrolled in a university or college program in a relevant discipline, like computer science or information technology/systems, software/computer engineering or similar related field \nYou are a proactive problem-solver with a demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement initiative \nAn aspiration to work in software development after graduation \nThe natural ability to pick up new technology - you enjoy learning about new tools and how they work \nUnderstanding that success is in the details - you tend to notice things that others don't\nYou can code confidently and enjoy tackling challenging problems - you often utilize your creative thinking skills\nComfortable with learning and working effectively either independently or with groups across different functions and levels\nConfidence in your ability to communicate verbally and written in a detailed and impactful way - you have some experience with technical writing\nAlthough not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following\nA programming language like Java or Python \nFront end tooling (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript) \nA single page application framework like Angular JS \nWorking with databases (e.g. Oracle, Aurora, Azure RDBMS, MongoDB) \nSoftware design patterns \nUnderstanding of Atlassian, Confluence & Jira \nPrevious working or co-op experience working as a software developer, engineer or technical coordinator in a relevant field is an asset\nWhat We’re Offering:\nThe hourly pay rate for this position is $25, and the internship term runs from January to April 2027.
