This team of senior engineers, developers, architects, client managers and operations professionals designs, builds, implements and supports critical systems and platforms used across several Interac lines of business.\nReporting to the Leader, Infrastructure Operations, the Business Analyst - Technology Intern will work in a fast-paced Agile environment to connect business needs with practical technology solutions. You will gain hands-on experience gathering requirements, improving processes, supporting delivery teams and helping shape roadmaps for reliable, scalable platforms.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPartner with client managers, architects, technical specialists and other stakeholders to gather, analyze and document business and technical requirements.\nFacilitate discovery sessions, workshops, stand-ups and working meetings; capture decisions, actions, risks and issues and follow them through to resolution.\nMap current- and future-state business processes, identify gaps and recommend practical improvements.\nDevelop clear business flows, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation for technology initiatives.\nMaintain Jira boards, project plans and status updates so stakeholders have an accurate view of priorities, dependencies and progress.\nSupport the development of technology roadmaps, capacity plans and long-term system and software integration goals.\nCollaborate with delivery teams operating across Scrum, Kanban and waterfall approaches to help ensure solutions meet agreed requirements, timelines and quality expectations.\nWhat You Bring:\nYou are currently completing the third or fourth year of an undergraduate STEM program at a Canadian university and are available to work full-time for the Winter 2027 term.\nWorking knowledge of cloud computing platforms and the tools and practices that support continuous integration and delivery of business applications.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear requirements and process documentation.\nEffective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; you can work confidently with both business and technical stakeholders.\nA self-directed, collaborative approach: you establish priorities, learn quickly and deliver quality work under tight timelines in a dynamic environment.\nAlthough not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following:\nExposure to Agile Scrum or Kanban delivery models.\nExperience with business process analysis, re-engineering, process mapping or requirements documentation.\nFamiliarity with structured delivery methodologies, including waterfall and Agile, and with preparing specifications or feasibility studies.\nFamiliarity with Jira or similar work-management tools.\nFoundational programming experience in Python or Java.\nWhat We’re Offering:\nThe hourly pay rate for this position is $25, and the internship term runs from January to April 2027.
