This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional (0–3 years of experience) who has a passion for software quality, structured testing practices, and is beginning to explore the world of automation with Python.\nIn this role, your primary focus will be on manual test analysis and execution, supporting and contributing to Python-based test automation efforts. You will work closely with senior team members who will provide ongoing mentorship and structured guidance as you grow in your role.\nWhat You Will Be Doing:\nPerform test analysis, test case design, and test execution for customer-facing desktop and web applications\nDocument test cases, test results, and defect reports clearly and accurately\nAnalyze and investigate defects, escalating findings to senior team members as appropriate\nContribute to the maintenance and extension of existing Python-based automation scripts under the guidance of senior engineers\nMonitor and report on test execution results\nWork collaboratively across concurrent tasks with varying priorities, supported by your team\nWhat We Are Looking For:\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree (or final year student) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field\nFoundational knowledge of software testing concepts (e.g., test design techniques, test lifecycle, defect management)\nBasic to intermediate familiarity with Python — coursework, personal projects, or internship exposure all count\nUnderstanding the difference between UI and API-level testing (theoretical or applied)\nFamiliarity with bug tracking or collaboration tools such as JIRA or Confluence\nGood verbal and written communication skills in English\n0–3 years of experience in software QA, testing, or a related discipline\nNice to Have:\nExposure to any test automation library (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework, Cypress) even at a beginner level\nBasic awareness of version control concepts (e.g., Git)\nAny exposure to CI/CD concepts (e.g., Jenkins pipelines)\nBasic Unix/Linux command-line usage\nInterest in or exposure to financial/trading platforms\nTo Thrive in This Role, You Will:\nPrior experience working with Java is desirable but not essential for this role.\nDemonstrate curiosity and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, high-performance environment\nTake ownership of assigned tasks and deliver with attention to detail\nCollaborate effectively within a team while also being able to work independently on well-scoped tasks\nBring strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving\nEmbrace IBKR's Culture Code: Solve Problems -
