All major asset classes are supported (stocks, bonds, options, futures, cryptocurrency, et.al.) for trading on 200+ market centers around the world. The system uses numerous sources of information, such as exchanges, clearinghouses, depositories, and vendors, to maintain the database of 10m+ financial instruments. Information on the financial instruments supports IBKR’s order-management system, trade settlement system, customer portfolio system, regulatory reporting, etc. \nWhat will be your responsibilities: \nDesign, code, and maintain high-quality software applications and systems.\nWrite functional, performant, and maintainable source code following company best practices and standards.\nCollaborate with project managers to refine functional specifications.\nCollaborate with software managers to refine design specifications.\nLearn new software technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.\nLearn new development tools and practices to improve software development performance.\nWhich skills are required or desired:\nSkill in the Java programming language.\nSkill in the Python programming language.\nSkill in SQL for data queries and modification.\nSkill in relational database design.\nSkill in Oracle PL/SQL development is a plus.\nSkill in ORACLE RDBMS implementation
