We work in partnership with Product and Design functions of teams we support. We test and measure the real customer impact of each model we deploy.\nWhat will I be doing? \nIdentify areas where ML can create value for our customers\nIdentify the right ML framing of product problems\nWorking with teammates and Product and Design stakeholders\nConduct exploratory data analysis and research\nDeeply understand the problem area\nResearch and identify the right algorithms and tools\nBeing pragmatic, but innovating right to the cutting-edge when needed\nPerform offline evaluation to gather evidence an algorithm will work\nWork with engineers to bring prototypes to production\nPlan, measure & socialize learnings to inform iteration\nPartner deeply with the rest of team, and others, to build excellent ML products\nWhat skills might I need? \nBroad applied machine learning knowledge\n3-5 years applied ML experience\nPractical stats knowledge (experiment design, dealing with confounding etc)\nIntermediate programming skills\nStrong communication skills, both within engineering teams and across disciplines.\nComfort with ambiguity\nTypically have advanced education in ML or related field (e.g. MSc)\nScientific thinking skills\nBonus skills & attributes \nTrack record shipping ML products\nPhD or other experience in a research environment\nDeep experience in an applicable ML area. E.g.
