In all cases the DCOE will ensure that Change Control rules are followed and support documentation is appropriate and correct.\nThe role is will also be responsible for carrying out daily checks in their areas of responsibility, ensuring security is maintained, managing third parties and ensuring all work activity is captured and updates entered into the Data Center management tool, or into the workflow management/incident management tool, Service Now.\nSupport and execute all Data Center capacity management for cables and hardware on behalf of the Data Center Engineering & Operations team such that each item is recorded in a central database/spread sheet; this will be done for Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and ICE colocation customers.\nResponsibilities\nInstallation, relocation and recovery of Network, Server and Storage hardware to manufacturer standards and industry best practice.\nRepair of hardware to major component level (e.g. hard disk, NIC card, memory) across a broad range of vendor equipment.\nExecution of all work to Data Center work process & procedure.\nManage the goods in/out process for your dedicated storage facility and keep full records as directed for all incoming/outgoing assets and a full availability list of all items in storage.\nReceipt of damaged/failed hardware internally and replacement through Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) process.\nCarry out monthly audits of items in store and produce a report of all anomalies.\nManage asset record updates, tracking and placing assets as to their location and status (deployed, ceased etc).\nEnsure that all records are updated following any installations, moves or changes.\nCarry out daily housekeeping checks of the data halls and record their findings.\nControl Data Center stocks (copper/fibre patch leads, patch panels, connectors etc.) and report appropriately.\nTo provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns to support and maintain OLA’s & SLA’s.\nKnowledge and Experience\n5+ years’ experience working in Data Center environments\nPro-active and flexible with ability to work either as part of a team or as an individual\nEffective written and verbal communication at all levels\nStrong attention to detail\nDesire to learn and progress within the company\nExperience of hardware manufacturer installation standards and knowledge of copper and fibre cabling installations and standards, with preference given to the following qualifications;HP Accredited Platform Specialist\nSystimax Installation & Maintenance ND3361\nCorning NPI Membership \n\nBasic network knowledge and good experience of a broad range of IT hardware; HP, Dell, Nokia, Ciena, Cisco, Juniper and Arista\nUnderstanding of IP networks\nExperience of working in an ITIL controlled environment with knowledge of Change Control, Incident Management & Problem Management processes\nGood experience using Microsoft Office and CRM databases\nAbility to prioritise effectively\nAbility to manage 3rd party contract staff/companies working within the DC\nExcellent time management skills\nIntercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
