Every day we work toward transforming global markets.\nThe Systems Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining availability and high-performance in mixed Linux and Windows development, non-production, and production environments. This individual works as part of a results-oriented, service-delivery team and assists configuration analysts, release engineers, developers, and operations teams. Additionally, the Systems Engineer performs root cause analysis of problems, selects and implements automation tools, and actively participates in deeply technical discourse.\nResponsibilities\nAssist in the design, planning and implementation of server solutions\nTune and design systems infrastructure for maximum available performance and reliability\nAutomate manual tasks using scripting and application development\nInvestigate and adopt new technologies/tools as needs arise\nRespond to and assist in production operations in a 24/7 environment\nEvaluate, test, and integrate new operating system versions, drivers, and patches\nProvide technical analysis, resolve problems, and propose solutions\nProvide support to, and coordinate with, developers, operations staff, release engineers, and end-users\nAutomate common tasks in continuing effort to improve efficiency and consistency\nParticipate in a weekly on-call rotation for after-hours support\nKnowledge and Experience\n3+ years of experience with Linux operating systems (RedHat variants preferred)\n2+ years of experience with Windows Server operating systems\n2+ years of experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Tanzu, etc)\nExperience with deploying and supporting both physical and virtual infrastructure\nSolid experience coding with any combination of Python, Ruby and/or GoLang scripting and automation\nExperience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or equivalent\nFamiliarity with source control tools, such as git, Bitbucket, SVN or others\nDemonstrable knowledge of multi-tiered, highly available, and resilient application design\nKnowledge of horizontal and vertical scaling for performance and high availability\nTop-tier analytics and problem solving\nAbility to work in a service-oriented team environment\nProject Management, organization, and time management\nCustomer-focused, and dedicated to the best possible user experience\nCommunicate effectively with both technical and business resources\nFluent speaking, reading, and writing in English\nDesired\nBachelors Degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering\nFamiliar with deployment automation and orchestration (Jenkins preferred)\nExperience packaging windows software with Chocolatey\nIntercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
