The lead developer is a senior member of the team who sets direction for tools and development and mentors other team members.\nResponsibilities\nBuild, maintain, and support applications on global software platforms (ServiceNow) and other corporate systems, tools, and scripts\nWork with internal groups to translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions that automate existing processes and deliver new applications\nCommunicate with internal customers in non-technical terms, confirm requirements, and propose solutions\nManage projects from requirements gathering through development, QA, user acceptance testing, and production deployment, following ICE software development lifecycle guidelines and change management processes\nDesign new solutions with limited direction, and set challenging but achievable goals for functionality, scalability, performance, quality, and simplicity\nEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that reduce cost and time to market\nTake part in meetings and organize work or training sessions for new software introduced into the ICE technology environment\nDocument changes and author documentation on software development standards and practices\nMentor junior members of the team\nStrengthens the team through knowledge sharing and by applying best practices in daily work\nTakes initiative to keep learning, and stays current with technology trends and developments\nBuilds an understanding of ICE's strategy and the business side of the tools the team supports\nKnowledge and Experience\nBS degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline\n 5+ years of experience developing software and managing large software projects in ServiceNow\nDeep knowledge of JavaScript, web design, server-side programming, data structures, HTML, CSS, and Ajax methodology\nExperience with web services and web APIs: SOAP, REST, XML, JSON\nFamiliarity with web application architecture (HTTP, client/server, HTML, JavaScript)\nExperience with SQL and database technologies (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)\nData analysis skills and competence in MS Word and Excel\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to multitask and work independently on multiple projects\nMinimal travel: 2-3 weeks per year\nDesirable\nExperience with Python or NodeJS\nFamiliarity with PowerShell, Linux, Bash, and SSH\nFinancial industry expertise\nMS degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline\nIntercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
