The ICE Global Network offers unique content, delivery and execution services through an ultra-secure, highly resilient network. The IGN team manages the Connectivity business including Colocation, Connectivity, Hosting, Content access and Wireless. This role is an opportunity for you to be at the center of the fast-paced IGN business.\nThe Manager will act as the technical architect for bespoke and non-standard connectivity solutions, partnering with Sales Engineering and Network Engineering to assess feasibility, design, and commercial viability for use cases that fall outside our standard product catalog. This is a hands-on, design-forward role for someone who enjoys sitting at the boundary between engineering and product.\nWorking across both internal and external stakeholders, the Manager will act as the primary liaison between network engineering, data center and PMO teams on all matters related to European connectivity and new solution development. The role also involves regular engagement with sales, relationship management, legal, compliance, and regulatory teams, as well as clients and strategic partners, to drive technical and commercial success. This position calls for a strong technical foundation in network connectivity, combined with solid business acumen and excellent communication skills.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop a strong understanding of the EMEA ecosystem and the IGN connectivity network solutions and manage the global offering in collaboration with the wider IGN product team.\nPartner with Sales Engineering to scope non-standard requests and deviations from standard productsAssess technical feasibility and high-level design options with Network Engineering;\nEvaluate commercial, delivery, and support impacts;\nProvide go/no-go recommendations and support approved solutions through implementation\n\nSupervise network related initiatives and projects and product launches, report key timelines to management and escalate when needed.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders involved in the IGN business and more specifically with the network engineering teams (WAN, customer delivery, pre-sales).\nMonitor and build knowledge about network solutions and infrastructures (vendors, industry peers, etc.) to understand technologies, offerings, best practices and trends. Identify opportunities and risks to bring to management’s attention. \nIdentify new solutions (or enhancements) and bring them to marketWork with engineering on new technical solutions (high-level-design) and associated costs\nBuild business case with full P&L and present to senior management\nIf approved, lead the go-to-market plan and supervise the launch:Validate the technical solution with engineering (low-level design)\nDefine the product and work on commercial strategy and pricing\nJoin the project steering committees, report back key information to senior business management\nDeliver collateral documents (internal/external). Train Sales and pre-sales teams.\nWork with marketing on press release, social media and campaigns\nSupervise the launch and work closely with Sales to analyze feedback and manage adjustments, if needed\nEstablish KPIs to measure success and performance of new products, and report KPIs to senior management\n\nMeet with IGN customers during QBR-type events. Capture, analyze, translate and transmit feedback. Build business cases when opportunity arises. Walk customers through IGN initiatives and roadmap.\nKnowledge and Experience\nUniversity degree, preferably in technology or engineering\n6+ years of experience in a product role or as a technical expert (network engineer) dealing with financial network services or related sectors. Ideally, the candidate would have worked for a trading venue, a financial market service provider (Extranet, ASP, ISV), or a trading firm (banks, hedge fund, prop shop), and has experience and exposure to the following:Market participants, exchanges, and alternative trading systems\nMarket data and order entry protocols\nElectronic and algorithmic trading technologies and trading strategies\n\nHands-on experience producing high-level and low-level network designs for internal and external purposes.\nDirect exposure to non-standard or bespoke connectivity delivery (custom cross-connects, hybrid cloud on-ramps, multicast distribution edge cases, etc.). Familiarity with cloud connectivity (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Interconnect) if relevant to your stack\nSolid understanding of trading venue infrastructures (edge network, gateways, matching engine, feed handlers) with exposure to market data and order entry protocols.\nStrong knowledge of telecommunications / networks (lower layers of OSI model, Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols and solutions such as VCC, Layer 3 VPN, multicast distribution, TCP connection, etc…)\nProblem solving and results oriented, with a strong work ethic and an eagerness to take on new assignments and challenges\nStrong communication skills, attention to details, and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams\nEffective time management and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a demanding and fast paced environment\nDemonstrated curiosity for the commercial side of technical decisions.
