Our Java Software Engineers develop applications in an Agile SDLC. Responsible for the development of Java enterprise applications utilizing frameworks such as Spring Boot. This position will have responsibilities in full life cycle development within a services-oriented architecture, including design, programming, testing, packaging, deploying, and maintaining service and infrastructure components.\nResponsibilities\nProvides full stack design and development of Spring Boot components and the migration of legacy components to target architecture\nDesigns and develops APIs necessary to affect front end functionality and/or be consumed by other partners\nDesigns and creates data models for applications and databases to persist them\nWorks closely with business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions\nParticipates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements\nWrites technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements\nDesigns and develops automated Unit Tests, Component Tests, and Scenario Tests\nPerforms code reviews and adheres to secure coding practices\nMentors and guides work of less experienced software development staff\nRemains current on company SDLC standards\nWorks closely with other engineers, vendor partners and business owners to ensure that the finished solution meets the needs of the business and our customers\nPerforms additional related duties as assigned\nKnowledge and Experience\nBachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience\nRequires four (4) to seven (7) years of software engineering work experience\nExperience working with Java development technologies\nExperience with Spring or Spring Boot frameworks\nExperience with SQL server \nPreferred Knowledge and Experience\nAbility to communicate and collaborate effectively in a team environment\nData Integration knowledge \nExperience with any of the Kubernetes based platforms (OpenShift (OCP), EKS/ECS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry)\nExperience with RESTful service development and working with microservices applications\nExperience working with Kafka\nExperience working with cloud native applications\nFamiliarity with relational database management technologies such as SQL and PostgreSQL\nFamiliarity with nonrelational database technologies such as DynomoDB, MongoDB or Cassandra \nExperience with XML parsing\nFamiliarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines\nFamiliarity with source code management tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, Jira or Git\nProficiency with development technique such as Test Driven Development, Unit Tests, Component Tests and/or Scenario Tests\nFamiliarity working in a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) leveraging Agile principles\nExcellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills\nAny cloud certification a plus (i.e. AWS, Azure, OCP) \n Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
