Technician\nCore Purpose of the Job\nThis role requires a BIM software modelling technician with a solid understanding of their specific discipline.\nThe role can be presented by a junior professional or technician and focuses mainly on research and development of BIM in a holistic approach to the overall AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) or Built Environment.\nContext\nOUR CLIENT is markets in which CKR operates\nKey Performance Areas:\n(Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position [KPA's])\nBIM Modelling for specific design discipline\nUnderstanding Responsibility and Being Accountable\nGood Communication\nMeeting Deadlines\nMandatory behaviours critical to the Culture of CKR\nUnderstanding and demonstrating the ethos of CKR\nRole Dependencies\nEngineering Personnel\nInternal CKR disciplines for quality coordination of MEP services.\nExternal stakeholders [Consultants; PMs; Architects; QS; Clients; Developers; Government Bodies etc.]\nLiaising with Clients and other Consultants drafting personnel\nDiscretionary Space - Independent Thought and Judgement\n(The degree to which individuals are allowed to exercise independent thought and judgement)\nUnderstanding client requirements, interpreting them using engineering judgements and presenting a solution.\nInterpret situations (internally and externally); apply knowledge of process (discipline; customer requirements) to provide appropriate solutions and make informed project and business decisions.\nEvaluate project progress and make trade-offs to ensure the best use of available resources.\nAlert Management or colleagues to issues and risks in any project or the business itself\nAuthorities:\n Management and Senior Engineers\nDuties will comprise:\nGeneral\nBIM modelling for specific design discipline\nWork under direction of Senior Draftsman Team Lead\nEnsure construction documents accuracy based on discipline BIM modelling\nCollaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines design-changes and model challenges\nAdhere to BIM execution plan and BIM project workflow\nPresent new technologies which align and add benefit to the overall company BIM strategy\nFollow BIM standards and development procedures\nMay take lead on developing some discipline specific BIM modelling content for project\nPrepare BIM models for coordination meetings\nOversee the communication of project information via DWF for collaboration internally and externally\nDrafting Technician under close supervision, perform simple drafting tasks, often with finished work as a guide.\nThis is the entry level class for the engineering drafting.\nIncumbents have had sufficient training and/or experience to produce an acceptable quality and quantity of simple, repetitive drafting work without additional on-the-job training and without being required to have any substantial knowledge of engineering, symbols and terminology.\nIncumbents typically are expected to progress to Senior Drafting Technician.\nExamples of assignments at this level of difficulty and responsibility are: Drafting assistant to a Principal Drafting Technician, preparing simple engineering detail drawings, circuit and other diagrams, and maintaining files of completed work and copies.\nAdministration/Internal Management\nPlan your work every day and week.\nComplete work within agreed times and adhere to priorities.\nPlan your leave in conjunction with project engineers and project managers.\nAdhere to internal procedures and systems.\nFill in time sheets on a daily basis, using the system as provided by
