IT Management\nOptimize existing processes or introduce new systems and processes leading to more\neffective measurement of delivery and control.\nEffectively manage relationships with supporting and dependent stakeholders.\nIntroduce or improve processes associated with effective delivery of Information Technology\n(IT) project goals within the sphere of Business Systems.\nDeliver internal developed systems.\nStructure quality gateways in the delivery of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\nManage projects associated with Business Systems where external vendors are involved.\nManage projects associated with Business Systems where internal stakeholders are\nresponsible for delivery of enhanced software.\nRepresent the IT division on technical systems to clients of externally developed systems.\nMake decisions on technical systems and champion Business Systems.\nServe as a functional advisor for Business Systems.\nManage the outsourcing delivery of systems and development life cycle\nPage 2/IT Specialist Advert\n2. IT Governance\nDevelop and implement the Comapnie's IT Governance Framework in line with Department of Public\nService and Administration (DPSA).\nEnsure compliance with the Public Service Corporate Governance ICT Policy Framework\n(CGICTPF).\nDevelop and implement the Companies ICT Plan.\nReview and implement the Companies IT Security Policy.\nReview and implement company IT policies and procedures.\n3. IT Business Continuity\nDevelop and implement the Companies IT Risk Management Framework in line with Enterprise\nRisk Management.\nDevelop and implement the Companies IT Disaster Recovery Plan.\nDevelop and implement the Companies Archive Plan.\n4. Stakeholder Relationship\nDevelop clear and implementable service delivery programmes.\nIdentify opportunities to exceed customer expectations.\nDesign internal work processes to improve customer service.\n5. Budget Management\nAnalyse the IT divisions business plan to determine its financial requirements.\nObtain the budgetary prescriptions from the Finance Division.\nDetermine financial allocations for the IT division in accordance with deliverables.\nSubmit the IT divisions budget for approval in accordance with Companies policies and procedures.\nMonitor the divisions expenditure against budget and ensure spending occurs within\nbudgetary limits.\nPeruse the divisions monthly expenditure statements from Finance and addresses anomalies.\nExplore opportunities to reduce costs.\nPage 3/IT Specialist Advert\n6. Project Management\nManages projects from original concept through to final implementation.\nDefine project scope and objectives.\nDevelop and implement technical project management tools such as plans, schedules, project\nestimates and resource plans.\nDevelop responsibility and compliance matrices.\nInterface with all areas impacted by projects.\nConduct project meetings, and undertake project tracking and analysis.\nEnsure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables.\nProvide technical and analytical guidance to project team/s.\nRecommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.\n7.
