Your role will include Medium and Heavy-duty trucks (4x4, 6x6, and 8x8 vehicles with high mobility and extreme levels of landmine, IED, and ballistic protection chassis harness design using 3D CAD - and 2D Schematic software, preparing bills of materials and their representative 3D assemblies (Unigraphics NX) while evaluating the scope of the work and managing project timelines.\nDUTIES:\nDevelop\nDevelop innovative solutions for ammunition manufacturing facilities in cooperation with team members of different engineering disciplines.\nDo Research and Development to ensure the implementation of the latest technologies during the development processes.\nDesign\nMechanical designs from the concept phase up to and including detailed dovetailed drawings for manufacturing.\nExecute design reviews.\nPlan and prepare plant layout and inputs for civil structures.\nEnsure designs comply with legal and explosives regulatory requirements.\nEnsure designs comply with OHSA requirements.\nBuild\nEnsure the availability of the budget.\nOversee and give guidance to internal and external fabrication entities to fabricate and construct the designs.\nEnsure conformity to the specifications.\nEnsure manufactured / bought-out items adhere to quality standards.\nEnsure progress is on schedule and within budget.\nTesting\nPlan and conduct tests and evaluations to verify the equipment and system performance.\nInvestigate failures and ensure corrective action is taken.\nEnsure results are documented and configured.\nImplementation\nEnsure concept designs are developed into saleable products.\nOversee the installation and implementation of the final product.\nPretraining/support on the usage of products/systems.\nBusiness Support\nCompile technical documentation and costing in support of new business development.\nInteract with clients in support of business development.\nQualification\nBachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering or higher\nApplicable Experience\nFive (6) years of working experience in mechanical design related to a plant and equipment environment (experience in heavy equipment/Automotive explosives or ammunition environment is desirable).\n2 years in Mid senior level\nProficient in the use of SolidWorks and or similar 3D CAD.\nAutomotive sector \nAdditional qualities or experience that will be to the benefit of the candidate\nExcellent problem-solving skills.\nGood communication, planning, and organizing skills.\nInterdisciplinary skills related to engineering design.\nHighly organized and self-motivated.\nAnalytical thinker with good reasoning skills\nAbility to interact with people at all levels\nAbility to work precisely and methodically with minimum supervision, self-starting attitude.\nExposure to Explosive Regulations as set out in the OHS Act.\nTechnical writing and documentation skills.\nAbility to work under
