operational performance metrics\nOversight of the general ledger, reconciliations, and financial integrity of records\nIdentification of financial trends, risks, and opportunities, with proactive recommendations to management\nContinuous improvement and automation of financial processes and reportingBudgeting, Forecasting & Planning\nOwnership of the annual budgeting process across the business\nPreparation and maintenance of rolling forecasts and scenario analysis\nDevelopment of financial models to support strategic initiatives and business cases\nPartnering with business leaders to ensure alignment between financial plans and operational strategy\nMonitoring performance against budget and providing actionable insights Cashflow, Treasury & Working Capital\nManagement of cashflow forecasting and liquidity planning\nOptimisation of working capital, including debtors, creditors, and cash cycles\nOversight of banking relationships, facilities, and funding requirements\nMonitoring and management of financial risk exposures\nApproval and oversight of payments in line with governance frameworks\nTax & Statutory Compliance\nOversight of all tax submissions, including VAT, income tax, and payroll- related filings\nEnsuring full compliance with IFRS, Companies Act, and applicable regulatory requirements\nLiaison with tax advisors and support for tax planning initiatives\nMonitoring of regulatory changes and assessment of financial impact on the business\nAudit & Internal Controls\nOwnership of the external audit process, including planning, execution, and resolution of audit findings\nPreparation of audit and risk committee reporting packs\nMaintenance and enhancement of a robust internal control environment\nOversight of capability within the finance function\nDesired Experience & Qualification\n CA(SA) Qualification \n BCom Accounting\n CIMA Registration (advantageous)\n Matric\n Minimum 5 years relevant experience (including post-articles experience)\n Minimum of 5 years experience managing accountants\n Experience in financial services or insurance advantageous\n Strong financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting skills\n Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability\n Advanced Excel and financial systems capability\n Working experience with Sage, IDU, Quick consol
