To analyze, maintain and control the various Logistics Planning Contracts by liaison with the necessary departments and external contractors in order to reduce costs and improve methods of control on an ongoing basis.\nPossible Tasks within this Role\nConceiving, preparing and implementing detailed logistics material flow concepts in production and warehouse environments for optimum solutions.\nPreparing detailed layouts, drawings and job specifications for specialized facilities or logistics services based on latest technological solutions.\nConceiving, designing and procuring logistics facilities, i.e. stillages, pallets, dunnages, trolleys, racking, general storage facilities and packaging based on analysis and interpretation of requirements for new projects, production requests or other valid customer requests.\nPreparing detailed project plans for coordinating and monitoring projects.\nPreparing clear specifications for RFQ process to obtain quotations from contractors or service providers\nEvaluating or adjudicating quotations and negotiating with suppliers if required to improve/optimize specification and/or quotes.\nPreparing appropriation requests to justify and secure release of funds for projects.\nPreparing and issuing purchase requisitions.\nArranging for project/facility/service acceptance and hand-over by conducting demonstrations of equipment or facilities (e.g. through physical trials).\nPreparation of budget prices to be used for corporate projects, cost studies, parts localization plans and export projects.\nDeveloping and introducing packaging specifications for production parts\nConsultation with stakeholders Drafting and updating Logistics service contract specifications\nConvening and chairing meetings as required with relevant role players in order to execute projects, functions or tasks\nQualification requirements\nDegree or National Diploma in fields of either Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics.\nExperience needed\n3 years experience with logistics processes within an automotive manufacturing environment.\n2 years experience as a project engineer in Logistics Planning or equivalent planning
