Intermediate Quality Engineer French Tester leads testing activities within CIBCs DCXT Contact Center Quality Engineering team. \n\nThis role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, coordinating end-to-end test support, and ensuring all testing processes meet quality standards and project timelines. \n\nThe incumbent works closely with project managers, developers, quality engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions and continuous improvement in testing methodologies.\n\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES : \n\nTesting Expertise : \n\n- Lead the investigation and translation of business and technical requirements into test cases.\n\n- Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for multiple projects.\n\n- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, schedules, and resource allocations.\n\n- Develop and maintain automated test cases and test suites using automation tools.\n\n- Execute manual and automated test cases, document results, and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.\n\n- Prepare and present status reports, test metrics, and risk assessments to project leadership.\n\n- Ensure all testing activities comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.\n\nAutomation Expertise : \n\n- Create and execute automation strategies, tools, and frameworks.\n\n- Build automated testing scripts and integrate them with DevOps tools.\n\nLeadership Skills : \n\n- Coach and mentor testing team members in business domain, functional testing, automation, and non-functional testing.\n\n- Ensure test teams are compliant with CIBCs test methodologies and industry best practices.\n\n- Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies.\n\n- Proactively identify and address issues throughout all test phases.\n\nProject Coordination : \n\n- Coordinate efforts of internal and external testing teams to ensure timely completion of test phases.\n\n- Identify and communicate obstacles or risks impacting project timelines or success.\n\n- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and escalate issues as necessary.\n\n- Ensure all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to project timelines, budgets, and goals.\n\nCROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS : \n\n- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology partners to ensure quality standards are met.\n\n- Serve as the primary point of contact for all testing-related communications among project stakeholders.\n\n- Work closely with project managers, developers, quality engineers, and external vendors to coordinate testing activities and resolve issues.\n\n- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.\n\nCOMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES : \n\n- As an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls.\n\nAUTHORITIES/DECISION RIGHTS : \n\n- As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.\n\nJOB DIMENSIONS : \n\n- Scope includes coordination of testing activities for ET QA projects.\n\n- Responsible for managing testing efforts across multiple projects and teams.\n\n- Direct influence over the quality of deliverables impacting client-facing banking and payment services.\n\n- Advisory responsibilities for process improvement and technology adoption within the team.\n\nKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS : \n\n- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\n\nMust have skills : \n\n- 5+ years experience, minimum 3+ years of experience in a Test Coordination role, with proficient knowledge of Testing Life Cycle, SDLC, and Defect Management.\n\n- Proficient in speaking and writing capabilities in French language.\n\n- Minimum 3+ years of experience in automation or equivalent technical role.\n\n- Strong database knowledge - RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems)/Source-to-Target Mapping (STM)/ ETL testing.\n\n- SQL scripting expertise - Ability to write complex SQL queries.\n\n- Automation Testing (Any tools - Tosca DI/Selenium/Robot Framework/Parasoft SOAtest/Postman/Rest Assured/ Cucumber).\n\n- Working knowledge of cloud/Azure environment (e.g., Databricks).\n\n- Experience in preparing test plans and test cases & responsible for execution.\n\n- Ability to support multiple projects within functional teams and end to end testing (program projects).\n\n- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.\n\n- Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry developments.\n\n- For automation and test script development - Python/Java/JavaScript.\n\n- Automation Testing (Any tools - Tosca DI/Selenium/Robot Framework/Parasoft SOAtest/Postman/Rest Assured/ Cucumber).\n\n- Defect and Test management tools (Any tool - JIRA/OpenText ALM/Confluence).\n\nNice to have skills : \n\n- Experienced in IVR testing and familiar with standard IVR tools such as Hammer, Cyara Botium, Cyara Velocity.\n\n- Unix knowledge - For running and initiating jobs in UAT/SIT environments.\n\n- Power BI or data visualization
