This role is responsible for notifying customers of delinquent accounts and the continuous follow-up of past due invoices.\nThis role is also responsible for processing cash applications. Other duties include receiving payments, confirming payments are posted to the proper account/invoice, keeping records of collection efforts, and updating account statuses.\nThe role is also responsible for preparing statements of accounts, refunds, offsetting credit memos, and/or cash to invoices. This position also assists the Credit Department with a variety of other duties, which also includes processing waivers and maintaining customer portals.\nEducational Requirements:\n· High school diploma or equivalent\nSkills and Experience:\n· 1-3 years previous credit or collection experience\n· Strong analytical skills\n· Professional phone etiquette\n· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel\n· 1-3 years’ experience with JDE Enterprise One and SAP preferred\n· Must be able to enter data and review data on multiple websites\n· Good communication skills, verbal and written\n· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills\nEssential Duties:\n· Enter, apply, verify and research lockbox receipts, intercompany payments and credit card payments\n· Process, reconcile and research refunds pending as needed\n· Deliver daily bank report of payments received to assist with credit and collection processing\n· Work with customers and corporate tax department to ensure sales tax exemptions are documented properly\n· Contact cash in advance customers for payment, with continuous follow-up until paid\n· Process payments for cash in advance customers\n· Contact customers with open receivables for payment\n· Continuous follow up on any past due invoice until paid\n· Research unapplied cash and credit memos on accounts to determine if customer should be refunded or how funds should be applied\n· Follow up with Administrative and Quality Claims for balances on the accounts receivable\n· Maintain and reconcile customers' accounts\n· Work very closely with the Credit Analysts\n· Initiate vendor requests for refunds due to customers\n· Process waivers\n· Maintain customer portals\n· Process check requests\n· Refund credit card over-payments to customers\n· Send customer invoices and statements of account\n· Pull Daily Payment Details from Bank\n· Maintain Third Party Invoicing and Payment Portal\n· Perform other duties as assigned\nWork Environment:\nGeneral office\n3 - Associate / Professional / Individual Contributor / Team Lead\nLearn more about Interface (NASDAQ: TILE) and our brands at interface.com and FLOR.com.
